Definitely the best place for a private party in Leeds. Had my birthday party there last week. Thanks for looking after us Lianna you were a star!
Boutique – Leeds City CentreI stumbled on this gem of a place whilst working in Leeds and since then I've been back three times and am planning to go this Friday too! The food is fresh, tasty and there's such a variety, and all reasonably priced. Also (as other reviewers have mentioned) they have lots of little authentic Japanese items which you don't get in any other Japanese restaurant except in Japan! This is the best one I have been to in the UK, I only wish it was in my home city!
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreWhat a great restaurant! Went to Leeds for my birthday and chose this place from reviews and was not disappointed. I had the vegetarian banquet (soup, 4 mini-starters, 2 mains and bread for £18.00 per head) and my husband had a fantastic seafood stew for £9.00. Fantastic food and great value for money.
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreAtmosphere and understatement! What a truly authentic and fantastic surroundings with a busy feel! Loved the food opted for the Banquet 4 of us eating! Def go again
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreWhilst other places come and go the longevity of this restaurant says it all. It has always been good. I used to go in the early 90s and the standards haven't dipped. The food is excellent, the service is unobtrusive and swift, and the cost is reasonable. Always a nice place to be.
Sous Le Nez En Ville – Leeds City CentreWhat a fantastic restaurant - I loved the impression of sitting on the floor. The marshmallow parcels and the profiteroles were amazing and such a delicious surprise when I bit into them (yes, I shared two puddings!!) - am intending to take my son there, as he lived in Tokyo for 6 months. Jay from Bradford
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreBeen going viva cuba's restaurant in kirkstall for a few years now and have always had a great time. Visited their new restaurant in the city centre and am pleased to say that it is just as good!! Both restaurants serve great food with great service and all at a reasonable price.
Viva Cuba – Leeds City CentreWe tried Viva Cuba after a recommendation from a friend... the food is delicious and the staff were very friendly, and it? amazing how busy the place always is. I would say value for money is ok; the portions are good size for money. Just difficult if you want to order lots of different dishes !!
Viva Cuba – Leeds City Centrei went to Bibis on sat 14th April with 3 friends. I?e never been before. i thoroughly enjoyed the evening. although i feel my meal could have been better, i think i must have chosen the 'wrong thing' for my main course. for my starter i had the garlic mushroom which were lovely, but my main course was braised beef with mashed potato. not particularly adventurous I have to confess, but the potato was only just warm and there was nothing particularly special about the beef. one of my friends had the beef stroganoff which was amazing. we were all to full to eat dessert. the restaurant has a great atmosphere, if anything a little too noisy as you can't really chat because you can't hear each other speak. but i would definitely go again. the bill came to £140.00 which was for 2 courses each a bottle of wine and a couple of beers.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City Centrefantastic food and very friendly service. we go most weeks and if ali is cooking it is an even better experience.
Nazma – Leeds City CentreThe place to be! Fantastic food and very friendly and attentive service. Definitely recommend a visit. You are more than likely to spot some Emmerdale stars too!
The Foundry – Leeds City CentreHad a great meal at Sandinista on a Thursday evening a couple of weeks ago. The food was excellent - we ordered a selection of 6 tapas dishes to share based on 3 per person and I couldn't fault any of it. In particular the meatballs and pork belly stood out. This is the best tapas I've had in Leeds. Its not 100% authentic Spanish tapas but its not meant to be. It was very tasty, great value for what we had and was miles better than what you would expect somewhere like La Tasca. The atmosphere was really cosy and our waiter (don't remember his name) made us feel really welcome and was helpful without ever being over fussy. Oh and I should mention that we both finished up with a dessert cocktail which rounded things off perfectly. If you have yet to eat here make it a priority. We'll certainly be back soon!
Sandinista – Leeds City CentreMy Husband and I ate at Chaophraya for our 1st anniversary and it was incredible, like nothing I have ever tasted. The outstanding food was matched by impeccable service. I would definitely recommend Chaophraya for any occasion. There is also a Chaophraya in Manchester and it is equally as good.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreWent here "on speck" on a Thursday night at 10pm. Quite busy but straight to a seat. It's a nice place and the tables aren't cramped together. Large choice of courses, I went for the chilli beef which was the best I've had. Nice starters, prawn toastc - lots of it and calamari - lots of it!! With two starters, two mains and two beers, total was £31.70. Top place, will definitely go again.
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreVisited with 4 colleagues for Christmas and was so good we went back in February. Had a wonderful time the staff and manager are great fun and nothing is too much trouble. The food is out of this world and can't wait to go again.
La Vina – Leeds City CentreWe went to Bibi's on mothers day at lunchtime, and there were 8 of us that included 2 kids. The staff were very attentive, but not over attentive, and made sure that we had ordered/received our food and drinks. All 8 of us had 3 courses, and something different, and one of us had the 3 for £20 special menu, and i can say not one of us had anything to complain about. The food was of a high standard, and i couldn't finish everything off my plate as i was sooo looking forward to having dessert!!! it was so well worth having the tummy ache from eating too much, and we all had a little taste of each others food for when we go back. the price was about right, it averaged at £40 per person, but we counted the kids as one as they had some things off the main menu instead of the kids menu, but no alcohol!!! you could spend £40 on 3 courses and a bottle of wine in Bella Italia!!! The large screen wasn't off putting, in fact the kids ( & one who shall remain nameless) were enjoying scenes from chitty chitty bang bang!!. I would highly recommend this restaurant, we are going back in 3 weeks for a joint birthday bash, and even though we don't live in Leeds, I have a feeling this is going to become our favourite restaurant. I will have to go back at least 5 more times to sample all the desserts i was fancying!!! service was excellent even though it was 3/4 full and would have no worries about going at peak time.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreThis is the one - best bar in Leeds (Yorkshire?!) by far! I love the northern quarter in Leeds but Sandinista is the pick of the bunch. The atmosphere is always wicked at the weekends - never fails to go off. Wicked tunes played to a really up for it, unpretentious crowd. Cocktails are top notch as well. Definitely one to check out.
Sandinista – Leeds City CentreThree of us went last night, no need to make reservations, the food was excellent and the profiteroles are to die for. One of the best restaurants in Leeds!!!
