The White Hart – HullDined in the restaurant on both evenings of our two night stay at Cedar Court and found our meal most enjoyable with excellent service. Reasonable choice of food but it was a shame for us pescatarians that the cod loin was in a chorizo? cassoulet so not suitable. The mushroom bourguignon was a very tasty vegetarian option. Beautiful dining room, tables not dressed so rather plain and utilitarian against the setting of the room. Sadly breakfast was not as good, totally self service buffet and I didn’t see a menu offering other choices. The beans and mushrooms on the hot plate were cold. The toasters are a bit useless. It was nicely presented though and a good choice of food. The score is for the evening meal rather than breakfast and food would be 4.5 but the slider wouldn’t do halves. All the staff were friendly and polite. Visited many times previously and will hopefully and happily go again.

Botafogo Brazilian Grill – HuddersfieldOnce again a superb meal at Maxis. All the food was fantastic and the staff are really friendly and helpful - I have limited mobility and they go out of their way to make sure I am comfortable
Maxis – YorkTucked away by the side of the River Ouse, this restaurant offered terrific value with a lunchtime 'eat as much as you want' deal. Although we arrived half way through the opening hours there was a good selection of all varieties of cuisine available. Chefs were checking the various serving dishes and replenishing with freshly cooked dishes.
Panda Mami – YorkBeen wanting to try this restaurant since it opened, so glad we did. Food was excellent, great ambience, lovely staff and very affordable. Would definitely go again and highly recommend.
Little Sicily – BridlingtonWe had lunch here 2 adults and 2 out of 3 of our children ate for free, it was good value for money and there was a good selection of food. Although the chocolate fountain doesn’t get switched on for lunch this is understandable given the price and there was a big enough selection of sweets and desserts to choose from. The food was nice quality and was better than what I expected from a buffet and the kids loved it being able to look at and choose different options. The service and staff were lovely and accommodating with the children giving them a colouring book and a lolly at the end.
Panda Mami – York6 of us visited for lunch, the food was really impressive and the service great. Table was slightly small but nothing to complain about. Will return.
Snug and Chatter – WetherbyLovely food, and great selection. Just be aware that they try and charge you an ‘optional’ surcharge when you pay for food and again when you pay for drinks. It’s only when I asked that they told me it was optional.

Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughAfter a lovely meal there a couple of weeks ago we took our son on Monday evening. So disappointing . I had raved about the pie of the day but they had none at 6 in the evening. Likewise no fish and chips. We ordered the Brie sharing starter which came cold and solid. Our mains came in various stages. We asked for condiments and the salt pot was delivered smeared in tomato sauce. It’s such a shame that this lively little bar restaurant is so inconsistent. On our previous visit Sam was the manager and he was brilliant, tentative and entertaining and made sure service was good. The staff are young and perhaps some are more experienced than others but no excuse for food not being available at 6 in the evening. Come on Snug and Chatter - you can do so much better! My ratings are best on this visit.
