Enjoyed a lovely meal with the hubby, we had steak and kidney pie and chicken in a cream sauce both meals more than ample portions served piping hot. Nice selection of veg and delicious home made chips. Good selection of wine/ beers/lagers/cider and lovely friendly staff. We have been several times and never disappointed.

We had an excellent meal and I particularly liked the fact that (with a large party) we could all eat from a great variety of dishes. The aubergine dish was a particular favourite with everybody (as were the tempura prawns). My only problem (being deaf) is that the acoustics in the restaurant are not good, so hearing conversations could be difficult

Great to see trout with almonds (as a special) and sherry trifle on the menu , rare to find either these days. Both were delicious. Friendly service too. Pretty noisy on Saturday night with live singer, much quieter on Sunday.
