We were a party of 5 and went to The Crown for Easter Sunday lunch. Had a fantastic meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and was piping hot. Roast potatoes crispy and vegetables were delicious (not over cooked as in some places). Large portions all rounds (even the small portion). Staff were very attentive and we were were asked by all them how our meal was and if we needed anything. We sat inside but there is also a lovely seating area outside at the back (and another at the front) plus a big outdoor play area for kids. Not our first visit and we will definitely visit again.

My wife and I visited the restaurant during a brief stay in Leeds. It was a great find. The restaurant was lovely. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Because we are getting in a bit we tend to eat quite early so the restaurant was quite quiet when we got there but I was pleased to see that it was getting quite busy by the time we left. Would highly recommend it.

Becoming a bit of of a regular on visits to York. Excellent food. Not been disappointed yet.

Sambuca is our little go to place when we want a good meal in a decent restaurant. Sambuca, is not somewhere to go for a nice romantic candlelit dinner as it isn't that intimate as the room is relatively small and you are relatively close to the people adjacent to you. This isn't a criticism as you could have a lovely meal as a couple but I would suggest it would be more suitable to a couples evening where there are more than one couple and in all honesty the more the merrier as it is what i would term a happy restaurant and one where a live violinist would not be out of place. Never disappoints and on this occasion we took advantage of the early bird offers so winner winner chicken (except I had Pizza) dinner. We were a family of 3 and as per usual we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

Have been here several times and the food has always been fantastic. Last night I had the chilli chicken ramen and it's going to be a struggle to choose anything else off the menu in future!

Really lovely food, well presented and a great choice - we had a bento box, a sushi set, and yaki-soba, all very tasty and good value. They had Sapporo black beer which went down a treat with the spicy noodles. Lovely people - the sushi chef - who was very busy on a Saturday night - found time to thank us. Small restaurant, nively decorated, would recommend booking at busy times

We were served my Maria ! She was excellent and the restaurant offered such amazing service. The food was exceptional and we got free shots at the end! SAMBUCA was the highlight of our night !

Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The menu was limited, particularly for the gluten free and vegetarian people in our group. Portions were on the small side for the prices and the vegetable risotto only contained peas. Nevertheless we enjoyed our meal and family time. Would like to see the takeaway pizza menu return along with a gluten free pizza.

Another great night at Sambuca. Staff attentive and food was spot on

Had high expectations which I didn't think would be met. However the food was amazing. My starter of pickled trout was sensational. Our mains were also very good and well presented . The care into the little flavours was great. Wine was good, liked the fact it was a limited choice. I'm no restauranter so it's my humble opinion but i think the decor needs a change. After speaking to the maitrede I understand their thinking , but just feel like a bit of greenery or art might work. With the food on offer this place is golden , and I think a few tweaks would really make this place the number one place to go.
