Excellent service, excellent food. Nice atmosphere, with tables nicely spaced out, however if you happen to sit next to a loud group the noise does travel a bit. However the tables are of good size and plenty of space to operate whilst tucking in. Fair menu choice, reasonably priced. Six of us dined and no complaints at all. Personally I’m a bit of a burger freak and I was not disappointed at all with this choice. The bar is well stocked and good choice of real ale with all things considered and would recommend a drink or two before being shown to your table. Thank you, we really enjoyed our evening in the restaurant.

Wonderful staff and delicious food.

We visited Maxis for lunch with a friend . we were welcomed and taken directly to our table (which had been reserved) and drinks ordered. We chose from the lunch menu and starters were quickly with us followed by mains Staff were attentive and pleasant the food was very food... our friend declared it to be amongst the best she had had in a long time we ended our lunch with a pot of tea and chat time, we were never hurried at any stage

Kind welcome, for a solitary female venturing into a strange place. Dog-friendliness helped me feel relaxed, as I adore dogs. Food was fantastic, and the atmosphere meant the couple (with shih-tzu) that picked the table next to me became friends with me v quickly. Staff were efficient and very warm. Definitely recommend the Maypole!!

Another visit here and yet again does not disappoint. Ordered the special and was so good the quality of the food top quality. Definitely worth the money Staff friendly and atmosphere great.

Excellent in all aspects

We booked a large gathering of 16 people for a special occassion. The service and food were great. Staff friendly and helpful and not too in your face, giving time for the party to talk etc without being interupted. Table was decorated and a smaller table provided for gifts etc to be placed on. Couldnt fault!

The best working lunch spot in Leeds. I've been here a dozen or so times now and eaten my way through the menu. Great food, lovely surroundings, convenient location and really good prices.

Had a lovely lunch yesterday, food was superb for all 3 of us. The server was absolutely excellent, super friendly. There was a delay of over 30 minutes from us placing our food order and it being brought to the table. Otherwise everything was perfect.

I visit the GLC several times a week and the service is always exceptional. The food is really high quality and there’s always a good atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

A very tasty Sunday lunch with a view ,beef from farm to fork what more do you need and the sun was shining perfect and dog friendly

Great evening at Brooks. The menu provided a well balanced choice. Everything we had tasted delicious, really fresh with plenty of flavour. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient and a lovely cosy atmosphere. I will be back and thoroughly recommend a visit.
