First visit but will be back. Service was a bit slow despite it not seeming too busy. That said when we got our food it was very good. My wife had pan fried trut and I had chicken ballotine. We followed with an affogato and a sticky toffee cheesecake. Was all very good with friendly staff.

Went for a meal here, whilst on holiday. The service was excellent as was the food we had the set banquet very good value couldn’t eat it all. The food was hot and very good quality well presented. We would recommend a visit here for a meal and if we return to York we would visit the restaurant again.

Lovely birthday meal with friends. Food as always excellent. Friendly service with a smile including a little birthday cake. Nothing was too much. Great atmosphere. Very clean.

Having read the favourable review in the Yorkshire Post regarding the Aegeans's move to new location and the quality of the food etc we thought it an ideal place to meet with friends. However, we made the mistake of booking online so were unaware that a large party were booked in just before us, consequently service was grossly affected and the noise of chatter and music made our conversation difficult. We had a lengthy wait for our order even to be taken - compounded by the fact that we were not told from the start that the Meze was off the menu, and due to our wait we had to ask for bread and olives rather than they be offered to us which would have been courteous. The meat platter when it came was delicious and we all enjoyed it. We will return but will book by phone and check for the presence of large parties!

We are so lucky to live within walking distance of The Crown. The food is always good and the specials are varied, different and very enjoyable. The atmosphere in The Crown gets better every time we visit and the service is great. If you have to wait a little longer than you might expect- don't complain it's a sign of how popular this pub has become and it's always worth it-and it gives you the opportunity to try out the new wine list! We have taken several of our friends there and they always are happy to return.

Felt so welcomed immediately after walking in the door, with chatty and friendly staff. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a cute dinner out. The food was amazing and the option to box it up was great to eat later. Would definitely go again!

Been coming for over 50 years, standards have never dropped, food, service and value, top class. You won't get better fish and chips.

Fantastic. Excellent quality food and service. Haven’t been for a number of years to our favourite Chinese restaurant but was well worth booking a hotel room so we could come back. Still as good as ever. Top quality Chinese food first class!!

Known this place a long time, always great food & great value, staff are really nice, love the place - the gyoza are great but popular so sometimes run out - get in early :)

Lovely meal, great service. Nice to find somewhere that give the choice of how you want your fish cooked(fried, poached or grilled) and a choice of chips or potatoes.
