Emerging from a pandemic, we decided to eat out. From the word go, we were incredibly well looked after, from the lady on reception, the young man who escorted us up to our table via a lift ( I have a broken foot) and the wonderful lady who looked after us throughout our dinner 5* The food was delicious and the wine complemented it perfectly. We decided to indulge ourselves with the seafood platter for two, and it did not disappoint. Generous portions, all of which were divine. Would I recommend you….. definitely. Will be be returning….. absolutely. Thank you for a great evening out

The Magpie is always a lovely place to have a meal. There is so much to choose.

Visited many times over last 2 decades. Never had a poor meal at this establishment. Always excellent food, service and value. Since it’s reopening a couple of years ago it has lost not of its original atmosphere and has organised its service efficiently during the recent issues affecting everyone. Well done definitely would recommend as a must for seafood lovers on a trip to Whitby.

Great food, lovely play area for kids and the service was 5*! Every member of staff is polite and friendly, excellent customer service.

Lovely pub with incredibly friendly staff, always make you welcome. The food is superb, good portions and the specials are just lovely.

Good to be back after a few months absence. Always good food and a warm welcome. A little gem in Headingley, excellent value.

This was the best meal of the week. I had the Magpie medley and it was delicious. Every item was perfectly cooked and correctly seasoned. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rest of my group equally enjoyed their meals of cod and chips x2, lasagne and beef burger. A lovely evening, thank you.

Lovely food and great service, just a shame there was a really rowdy crowd in when we went that ruined the ambience for everyone there were lots of raised brows as these people behaved like they were in a sports bar

Aegean was recommended by a colleague and it didn't disappoint. Ambience was very mediterranean which was nice in itself. Menu was varied with something to suit most tastes. Food quality was fabulous with ample portions. Top this with great service and you have a restaurant you'd happily return to. Cant wait to go back.

Superb fish and chip meal at Magpie Cafe with my wife and Dad, who recommended we go there during our visit. Great staff too, definitely on our list when we return.
