Magpie Cafe – WhitbySecond time I’ve been within two weeks. Both occasions I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Sitting outside on a warm day with the Greek music in the background gave me the full Greek experience, the ambiance in the place is spot on as is the food, cannot fault the meals at all. Only minor thing is (and it is minor) service seemed a little slow on both occasions; considering the restaurant wasn’t too busy but have to add, the guys were both extremely pleasant and helpful and I put this down to them not wanting to rush your experience!!

The service was excellent and the food was up to the usual standard ( Superb ). No queuing due to Covid restrictions. Our meal was served promptly and we had finished within 45 minutes. EXCELLENT

Magpie Cafe – WhitbyDisappointing. Booked a few weeks ago to ensure we had a table whilst visiting Whitby. My cod was small in comparison to others I had been served at other restaurants and it wasn't hot. The waitress did replace it but by the time it arrived my husband had virtually finished his haddock meal. The mushy peas are an extra and they were left on the table so when my fish came back they were cold! We had to ask three times for our second round of drinks and some water. I think the waitress forgot. Additionally I had no cutlery when my starter arrived. The waitress said she usually provided cutlery once she had served starters!! Really disappointing start to our holiday.
