Good food and friendly service by lovely staff. Lots of choice for the vegetarians as well.

The food was delicious and all staff made sure it was very safe regarding Covid-19. Temperature taken at the door, tables spread out and all staff wearing masks. Will be back again.

First time visit. Booked ahead. No waiting. Shown straight to table overlooking harbour. Excellent F, C & MP! Superbly cooked. No greasy aftertaste. Well worth the money.

One of the best pubs I’ve been to recently, the staff were amazing and were always asking if we wanted drinks. The food was amazing, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We booked a table during our honeymoon in Whitby and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, a credit to the place. The food was delicious, couldn't of been any better. Fresh fish and seafood cooked to perfection and such an extensive menu and specials list to choose from. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Whitby, thank you.

Had a very enjoyable evening with you. The ambiance was super with beautiful decor, Greek music & very attentive staff. We were not disappointed on that score. However on a personal level, our choice is to enjoy a meal out as being a very relaxed experience. We felt on this occasion that we were a little rushed between courses. Where we would rather wait for the next course to be served whilst enjoying gorgeous Greek wine, we were asked if we were ready for our main meal. As we wasn’t ready, when we were ready, my husband found his lamb kofta really dry as it had been kept warm it would seem. Didn’t spoil my Moussaka thank goodness!. We’ll certainly be back. But will communicate our wishes next time.

We had a beautiful meal served by very hard working staff in these really difficult times. We appreciated the food and their excellent service in equal measure.

Any trip to Whitby is not complete without a visit to the Magpie. The food is outstanding, the menu a delight. The staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

Have been to Charles Henry cross gates a few times the only really good thing I can say about is that the drinks are cheap staff don't seem very interested in what there doing there's no atmosphere food not great got a breakfast food barely warm egg hard in middle no toast very poor wouldn't recommend
