Zucchini Restaurant – BatleyWe called in here after reading the reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. The food was really good. It is comfy and relaxed but really good quality food presented very well. There were 4 of us and nobody had any complaints about anything, not often that happens with our family! It was well worth the trip out and I hope to do it again soon. Thanks Black Horse.
Black Horse Inn at Clifton – BrighouseStayed here for 3 nights this last weekend and had a fantastic time! We had been married on the friday and so headed here for our "mini-moon" on the Saturday. We were welcomed warmly and showed to our room which was excellent. A massive four poster super king size bed and a double jacuzzi in the large bathroom. The room service was also top notch, champagne being brought on request very promptly. We ate in the restaurant on the saturday night and enjoyed a very good meal. A goats cheese starter was preceded by canapes in the lounge and an amuse bouche on seating. We followed this with Duck for my wife and Sea Bass fillets with king prawns and Chorizo for myself. A very pleasant evening. The breakfasts were also very good with choices outside of the basic full English. I enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and also a bacon and egg butty. The quality of the locally sourced ingredients was obvious and really made us look forward to getting up for breakfast. All in all a fantastic experience with lovely, helpful staff. We will return and recommend!!
Ashmount Country House – KeighleyAte at this excellent Italian on Monday evening with my wife. Firstly, the fact that this place was PACKED on a Monday night by 7:15pm is testament to how good it is. There was an offer available of 4 courses for £10! That may have been why it was so busy but honestly the food spoke for itself. We ate from the main menu, having antipasto and cheesy garlic pizza bread to start. Followed by pasta for my wife and a fillet steak Rossini with rocket salad and thin cut chips. It was really really good. All washed down with lashings of Amarone which was very reasonably priced. Couldn't manage dessert but finished with espresso and a Grappa Di Barolo. A memorable meal in a fantastic cosy restaurant. The owner was on hand and a great guy, gave us a couple of extra drinks as we were paying. We will return when next in the area!!
Amici Ristorante and Pizzeria – KeighleyWe recently visited Whitby for a day during our week's holiday and had our lunch in your restaurant. The fish and chip special that we had was superb with the lightest, crispest batter that we have tasted in years. The chips and mushy peas were also of the highest standard. The waitress was friendly and efficient and overall the experience was exceptional. Thank you
Terrys – WhitbyAWFUL ordered a king prawn dish absolutley awful prawns was chopped up in to little pieces way overcooked dry hard destroyed told the waiter just smiled and cleared the table never again
Akbars – Leeds City CentreHad a very poor meal and service on 20 July 2012. Disappointed as staff could not care less! Will not be going again. Was a fairly regular customer.
Medici Restaurant – Hulllovely food
The Black Bull – WetherbyWe've eaten at the Maypole fairly regularly for the past couple of years and it's a popular venue for both locals and visitors to the pretty village of Warley.Tuesdays is pie and a pint night and last night I had cauliflower and blue cheese pasty with salad on the side. The salad wasn't part of the special offer but they were happy to oblige. The pasty filling was generous and flavoursome and the puff pastry was light and buttery. My OH had steak, ale and potato pie with a shortcrust lid with chips on the side along with mushy peas served in a little pot. The pie filling, pastry and hand cut chips were all homemade.I had a glass of house dry white with my meal and my OH had his manly pint. The staff are always attentive regardless of whether it's your first visit or you're a regular.Sister pub to the Stump Cross Inn and well worth a visit if you're not already in on the secret.
Maypole Inn, The – HalifaxSuperb. I saw this just open all brand new last thursday. This place was a bit rough before, now its a completely different pub, cheap beer and excellent burgers, perfect.
Albert Hotel – HullI came with a lady friend yesterday the 23rd July for a carvery and it was disappointing as the food was only lukewarm and not very tasty at all, my friend made the mistake of putting horse radish sauce on her meal thinking it was white sauce, there was no label to say what it was and the waiter said you were waiting for a new label to put out.
Lockkeeper, The – WorksopJust great, tasty homemmade quality food and lots of it,,,,,what more can you want..no wonder there always busy ,,,
The Bottomleys Arms – HalifaxRaggalds is changing management on 23rd july 2012.new menus will be introduced , along a new wine list and food special offers. steak night s will be introduce, childrens menu , and mid week carvery etc.... pool table in the bar area, live acts and drink promotions. function room freshly re decorated and ready for your function .
The Raggalds – BradfordI have had two meals at this pub and can honestly say that they were the worst i have ever had. The first time i had was the the mediteraean cod which the potion was so small that even a child would have been left hungry. The second time i had a hawaiian buger which was cremated beyond belief. The pubs attitude seemed to pay lip service i there was no change. There are plenty of other pubs to go to so i will be taking my custom elsewhere. NOT reccommend at all.

Foxhouse Inn – Holmfirthbest fish and chip shop in keighley. we moved here six years ago and have tried them all. all dried up fish and disgustingly greasy. codleys came along and we tried it. would not go anywhere else. lovely white fish and non greasy batter. why can we only get haddock in keighley.I would love a piece of cod plaice or skate. I do find this rather strange.
