High quality grub in lovely surroundings. The staff were all well presented and friendly. The sausage and mash was proper good!! Quality ingredients served well, nuff said!

Stopped in here for a drink, such a warm welcome even though we were not eating. My wife had a glass of champagne and a beer for me, sat out on a terrace, perfect. We will be back and definitely will be eating next time!!

Fantastic restaurant. Easy to find and big car park. Lovely decoration inside and the staff are just amazing.. so friendly and genuinely nice people. The food was divine. Beautifully presented and excellent value. I have been twice now and we will be returning again. Best thai restaurant we've been to, including the more big name restaurants in the city. Recommended.

The side salad was dry and well past its best. The mixed starter was burnt and left a nasty after taste. The chicken vindaloo was not hot, I have had hotter curry from my local chippy. I will not be recommending this to anyone tried to have a word with the manager and all i got was chef is having a bad day.

Akbar's night out was definitely a night to remember, it was great!. We were addressed very politely by the staff and where seated and having our starters very quickly. The food was delicious and not cold. We loved every minute of it, I recommend them greatly.

My husband has says he's never had Italian food but doesnt like pasta. I explained its more than pasta. We went to Amici for our wedding and and he said it was the best food he'd eaten, thank you see you very soon.

Had an excellent meal here, the food was traditional and tasty and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, a very good night out!!

Went yesterday after reading the glowing review in the Telegraph. It matched my expectations (for once). Prompt efficient knowledgeable service and the food was so good I'm still thinking about it today! Portions were quite large so brought a doggy bag....can't wait till lunch to attack the fridge (hurrah for working from home)!

MAUREENS great food!!! Maureens catered for my daughters wedding this weekend, we had a marquee and 60 guests, many had not tried jerk chicken before! it was fantastic everyone enjoyed it, we wanted something a little different and Maureens gave us that, maureen herself is a lovely lady and a pleasure to deal with.... best jerk chicken around!!!! visited the marr lodge for the first time on sunday..and have to say the place was very friendly and welcoming. The carvery was spot on and good value for money!!!! would recommend it to anyone...excellent customer service as well!

Visited here on Saturday 4th August for an 80th birthday party, party of 12 people. The food was extremely good but will never go again on a Saturday evening, as we were not told that there was a very loud, cheesy disco on and it was impossible to have any conversation whilst eating. Even the waiters were having problems in hearing our order. Had we been told that there was a disco on when we booked this table - explaining that it was for an 80th birthday, we would not have booked. Spoiled our evening out. Never again on a Saturday night!!!

recently visited The Marr Lodge for a meal with my family. The menu was very well presented and the food was lovely. Just under new management and the new manager made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place i will be visiting again. Thank you for a great experience

I was pretty disappointed with the new change of hands with Bella Roma. I must preferred the previous owners. I felt as if the new owner were more bothered to bring in their customers from the Ronaldi's than the regular customers.

we regularly visit brewers fayre ' oldcotes it is extremely good value.we were sent an offer recantly regarding 3 course meal ,2 for £20, and have lost it on laptop.we are planning to book a special family reunion there, for 9 people on aug 8th

i dont understand what people are saying about this place. the wine is ok but the owner martin doesnt seem to know what hes doing, and the chef uses google for his recipes, the wine is ok, the food is not as good as macdonalds, only one toilet for everybody and no air conditioning, not a good effort.
