Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonI've been visiting aldo's for many years and it never fails to please. whether you want a romantic meal for two, a good evening out with friends, or a quick bite for lunch. this is perfect with good staff and friendly atmosphere and the best tomato garlic bread you will ever eat aldo's is the place to try, trust me you will return again and again
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonCame here for the early bird menu. Other than having to wait a little too long for my drink (had to ask for it again after finishing my starter, and the waitress had clearly forgotten all about it) the service was excellent and the food delicious, as well as beautifully presented. Would visit again.
The Wheatley Arms Hotel – IlkleyMy wife, family and I have eaten here more than once and never been disappointed, it is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it, better than pub food standard and always a friendly welcome from 'mine hosts'. Lovely views from the beer garden in the warm weather, roaring fire when it is cold. well recommended.
Slaters Arms – KeighleyMyself and a few friends who eat out quite often called into the sportsman's last Saturday night. The place was "packed" to say the least. Luckily we had booked a table as the whole pubs really busy and the atmosphere was electric. I had a tart of goats cheese and red onion chutney which came served on a magnificently presented, followed by Seabass in lemon and caper butter which i chose from the fish specials board, the fish was lovely and succulent. My friends all had 10 0z sirloin steaks which were cooked to perfection. Value for money and great looking food. definitely coming again.
Sportsmans Inn – Halifaxwhat a great place to eat 6adults for a birthday meal made to feel very welcome by the staff the food is of the highest quality the steaks are unreal you do not need a knife only a fork to cut them such good quality is the food no need to travel to Leeds or other surrounding areas for a great meal
Old Post Office Bar & Steak House – Barnsleywhat a great place to eat 6adults for a birthday meal made to feel very welcome by the staff the food is of the highest quality the steaks are unreal you do not need a knife only a fork to cut them such good quality is the food no need to travel to Leeds or other surrounding areas for a great meal
The rumours about "Rustico" buying Bella Roma out have proved to be true after all. The last twice I & my wife have been there the usual owners were not about, and things have been deteriorating. The Creme Brulee was not caramelised on one occasion, the roast potatoes had been re-heated & were slushy & greasy, the fruit crumble has been removed from the menu, and the service has got slower. The waitresses seem to be disorganised and running about, on 2 occasions banging into my wife's chair whilst she was eating. I have praised Bella Roma on this & other review sites many times, and recommended you to many people. I'm afraid that after almost 20 years it's time to try elsewhere.
Bella Roma – WakefieldWent for birthday a few weeks ago and couldn't recommend it more. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and equally pleasant staff. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Chaophraya – Leeds City Centreterrible food! packet pasta with sauces reminicent of creamed soups! shame on you not using fresh pasta in an 'italian themed' restaurant. staff are very attentive and appologetic when food was sent back as either cold, dry, something missing or in the case of my friends chicken caesar salad; added.....anchovies (surely an aquired taste? which shouldnt just be added as garnish??) have been 4 times at lunch now as convenient to take friends as lunch time but no more due to the terrible food. plus the last time we went workers were mending the roof and the smell of glue was so overpowering we were forced to sit outside. in the end due to many complaints from diners the manager finally decided to close the restaurant. have now found better italian place....Zuccinnis! perfect everytime.....and chef is actually Italian!
Frankie and Bennys – BatleyRecently I was part of a large filming unit that stayed at Scotch Corner... this pub was a real find! The food was excellent, everyone of the large crew enjoyed their meal, spread the word, and soon we were all coming to The Shoulder. The landlord and land lady were extremely welcoming and adapted to our large numbers at very short notice, and without taking a hit to their superb service and excellent food. Thoroughly recommend a turn off from the A1!
The Shoulder of Mutton Inn – Richmondwhat can I say this is the 2nd time I've been and the second time we've been disappointed, garlic mushrooms(nothing to review (pub grub standard)). prawns & mushrooms £7.95 for 3 mushrooms and 5 prawns.(but was nice. chicken main course was over cooked again so dry it had to be chewed with water.(sause nice). steak full of gristle and again over cooked.wont recommend, or be going back.
Gigis – PudseyThe best Indian EVER! superb food, atmosphere and such friendly staff....! we go at least 3 times a month...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Cinnamon Lounge – WakefieldI had a wonderful meal a couple of nights ago at the Shoulder of Mutton, my choice of Fishcake starter and a Duck main course were splendid.. The Duck was cooked exactly as I like it, I asked for it rare, it was totally mouth watering. Having eaten many times here I have never once been disappointed, the quality of the food is excellent and very good value for money. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly, see you again very soon.
The Shoulder of Mutton Inn – Richmondvisited la piazza on 2nd may excellent could you please email the name and where i could purchase your house red really enjoyed
La Piazza – RichmondOur weekend visit to the Wheatsheaf was very disappointing. A card sized table with infrequent clearing of used glasses etc left little room for serving dishes as the young front of house team were inattentive. Brocolli and Stilton soup watery and no evidence of flavour, grilled Tuna very dry and the Nicoise Salad largely composed of basic mixed bag lettuce of the very curly prickly type. Their compensatory offer was disappointing and largely unfulfilled (£3) for the Tuna plates and nobody returned to take our sweet order.
Wheatsheaf Inn – CleckheatonRecently visited the Shoulder of Mutton for dinner which was excellent, great value for money and the crackling on the pork was scrummy. Went back for a second visit as I had been told how good Sunday lunch was and I have to say I wasn't disappointed as their locally sourced Roast Beef was excellent, very tender and cooked to perfection. I will be returning very soon to sample more of what they have to offer. Great food and a very warm welcome and good service, my partner had commented on how good the real ales are.
The Shoulder of Mutton Inn – RichmondTurkey undercooked on two occasions. Food lukewarm, gravy too thick. Used to be excellent. ?? new chefs ?? new staff
