we were recommended the olive tree by the Saxon house b and b in york.we wanted somewhere extra special because we were in york for my treat weekend for my birthday. yes it was dearer than any other place we had been but it was worth every penny the food was the best I've ever tasted and the service was extra special too thank you for a wonderful birthday meal .

Totally 100% recommendation for this place. I am so picky and have visited this place many times over and every time the food and service has been second to none. It delivers consistently and is worth a trip to the takeaway and restaurant over any other in Leeds.

Upon arrival wonderful ambience and smell of food. Miserable owner with the personality of a house brick. Atrocious Thai fish cakes. Tasted like rubber. Constant sound of pinging microwaves might be the answer as they had not been recently fried. Main courses mediochre and lacking the delicacy and presentation mentioned by other diners. Having read the reviews which are generally outstanding I can only assume it was the chef's night off and the owner had had a bad day. Certainly won't be returning.

Fish is cooked from fresh with a light crispy batter. Staff polite. I've had plenty Fish and chips and to be honest its was not my favourite dish, but the fish and chips from here changed my opinion. Its a once a week treat now. Probably my fav takeaway.

Please don't go there the food was awful the manger would shout at the staff . They overcharged me by £30 and got two off my orders wrong. The manager was rude !!!!!!!

It is the best Indian restaurant we have eaten in ever!!! The popadoms were fresh, the naan breads devine, the waiting staff really friendly and the prices incredibly reasonable. We would definitely go there again!

Small (but there are further tables behind the main room) reasonably friendly cafe with exclusively vegetarian fare. Food is fresh and good quality. Fantastic home made cakes. Offers evening meals at weekends - need to try that sometime. If you are with non vegetarians then menu is limited although even a cheese sandwich is attractively presented.

my father took my sister for a lunch time birthday treat , they both enjoyed the food very much but where quiet surprised by the bill at the end of it having lived in Bradford all there lives and having tryed many places to eat they were shocked by being charged 60p each for a roti and 2.70 for a cup of tea Gordan Ramsay may have given some good advise but Bradford is not London and they feel you have priced yourself out of the market as its a one time visit .

Me and my family had a lovely night. The atmosphere was really nice, It had a warm and very friendly environment, the decor is great. And most of all the food was gorgeous, freshly cooked and a the service was great. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Deano's Graze and Grill

We had the foresight of booking a table for this evening on our way home from attending a meeting in Leeds. So we made our way to Prashad for our dinner: delicious rengan bhajias, masala dosa, black-eyed beans and puris. Have William and Kate considered asking Prashad to cater at their big do?

Outstanding! The service was excellent and the food was amazing - what more could you ask for? I will definitely be visiting again.

Best Kept Secret. Blah Bar do the best Sunday lunch in Barnsley. The food iis always excellent, and in my opinion restaurant standard. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The Chef changes the menu most weeks, but you can always have the roast beef Sunday lunch. Cannot recommend it enough. Prices are very reasonable, £10 for a 3 course. During the winter months, £5 for a main course. You cannot do it as cheap at home. I have eaten in the week, the food again excellent, always a changing menu. Def a hidden gem.

Oscars is always a pleasant place to eat and the food and wine is always at reasonable prices. very enjoyable

After dining at the Cow and Calf on the evening of the 19th March, and being a regular customer , I am sorry to have to say that the service was appalling. We ordered our drinks and meal at the desk and after some wines not being available we sat and waited for our main course, which took some time to arrive. It was hot and well cooked and presented. However, when we ordered our dessert we waited around 50 minutes for it and decided we could wait no longer. When we queried this at the desk we were told there was no slip for our desserts, even though our waitress had enquired previously when they would be ready. We paid and left without coffees or desserts and were very disappointed at our treatment. I think it will be a long time before we will be back.

Went to this place last night Saturday 20th March 2011, I was with friends and family and we had prior booked a table, on our arrival I noticed that the bar staff were miserable and during the meal I was forced on two occasions to leave the table to order and fetch back drinks, the service was simply rubbish, I found the food just like typical pub food but very very over priced, needless to say I will not be returning... not in a million years!

I went to the Moorcock last night Saturday 19th March with family and friends, We all had a starter and main course and I have to be honest I will never go back to this place I was so disappointed, the bar staff were miserable and I was forced to go to the bar from our table on two occasions to order and bring back drinks to our table, I felt that I was actually doing their job for them, I found it very pricey when it came to the bill and the food wasn't at all any different to pub food, in all it was a let down and a bad experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
