Just enjoyed a great meal at Ciao Bella on Brewery Wharf. This restaurant is a little hidden gem on Dock street. I am very lucky as I live opposite it! The food was really first class - I had Bruchetta to start and fantastic meatballs for my main course. Great selection of wines both by the glass and by bottle. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking for quality Italian food in an amazing character building.

This is a lovely restaurant serving fantastic food. The last time we had a pizza as nice as this we were in Rome!! The restaurant was very quiet but I'm sure as soon as word gets out about the fab food it wont be long before you cant get booked in. The service was excellent and the interior very tastefully decorated. Definitely worth a try.

i went to ciao bella on week night and found the restaurant to be quite buzzing. it had a few tables in. the starters and main course was fantastic, and the dessert even better. all the staff there are extremely friendly, and helpful, they even made a dish that wasn't on the menu for one of our table, i will definitely be going back.

Got to thank Tony and his team for their great pub, quality food and friendliness. I run away travel for football supporters and we've been feed and watered three times on our travels up north from Milton Keynes in the last year. Excellent food and service every time for up to 100 of us, they even laid on a full carvery at 10am on our trip to Hartlepool and we've got three more trips to The Black Bull coming up this season. We can't wait as it really adds to our day out. We stop all over the country on our travels and we've made it our pub of the year.

I would say it's the best place to eat in Harrogate, upstairs or down. David and his team look after you, the food is superb and a it's a great place to meet your friends and colleagues over a meal and good bottle of wine (or two!!)

We visited the wine bar for lunch today and had moules mariniere and seabass which were fabulous. We are never disappointed with William and Victoria's in Harrogate. Great service with a smile and delicious food...... what more do you want?

We dined at Prashad last evening and had a superb meal - rengan bhajias (aubergine fritters); idli sambar (rice cakes served with a unique lentil dish); bhinda (spicy ladies fingers [one of Kaushy Patel’s speciality]); and puris. With such outstanding cooking we are not surprised that Prashad keeps maintaining its unique place in the Which Good Food Guide. Bradford Council ought to place this unique restaurant in a most prominent position in its bid to obtain the status of being voted as the European City of Culture. Very few other cities could equal such culinary magic as shown by Kaushy and Minal.

Awful restaurant,very bossy Manager who would not let us have a drink at the bar before our meal,insisted that we sat at a table! Ordered stuffed mushrooms it arrived with 2 mushrooms closed cup mushrooms at that so hardly big,another of our party had poached pears and prosuitto salad to start and it took all of 2 mouthfuls to eat,pears were tinned! Soup was cold,and mains decidedly average.Desserts were slightly better,cheesecake with summer berries had half a strawberry as the 'berries' misleading to say the least,wont be wasting my money there again

Had my first meal here for my birthday in August. It was delicious, so last night I went again for their 4th Anniversary 5 Course Taster Menu. It was superb. I have never tasted food as good. David Wilson is an amazing and inventive cook and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Simply outstanding. The menu changes every month and from now on I am going to visit once a month at least. I just wish I had discovered it sooner. I had heard how good the food was but thought it was too far to travel for a meal but it only takes me half an hour from Oldham and from Manchester it would be 45 minutes tops.

Fantastic meal great atmosphere great vibe this restaurant has a real buzz about it 6 of us went out and had a lovely meal remember the happy hour from 7 till 9 for the cocktails 2 for 1 they are divine . Lots of choice from menus and good value and quality food and staff very attentive

Ciao Bella has opened in place of Nick's Brasserie, which (very) sadly closed a few months ago. We live close by and have been for an evening meal a couple of times since its opening about 5 weeks ago. The food has been excellent on both occasions and as has been said elsewhere, the wine and service are also very good. Negatives? I have felt, if you get there a little early when the restaurant is still not busy, it is almost an ambush they are so keen to greet you. Also, when there are only a couple of tables filled the atmosphere can be a little muted, but as soon as there are four or five tables occupied, the place gets a much more lively feel. Neither of these negatives would put me off though and as it is still early days for them, I think these creases will iron out. The location is excellent and the building is beautiful. I will certainly be back and supporting the new owners - if they keep up the current standards they will (and will deserve to) do well!

Customer's verdict on lunch at Chadwick's Inn, Maltby, 9th September 2009. Present meals are grossly overpriced. Ordered grilled gammon at £9.50. Gammon was a small portion, not cooked as requested. [5/10]. Egg & (tinned) pineapple. [6/10]. Soggy green leaves served as a veg. [0/10]. Chips: thin, stringy, served in individual small baskets. [2/10]. Lager, Anstell, £3 per pint. [7/10] The premises have been completely refurbished. Decor is good (except for painting of original ceiling beam to match the walls). Seating and box-type tables uncomfortable but was offered place in restaurant, which looked very good. Owing to loud, intrusive 'musak', chose to eat outdoors. Toilets: excellent, despite being labelled 'toilettes'. Summary: the interior has been tarted up at the expense of the meals. The place is pretentious, the service is slow. Not worth a second visit.

I cannot make a recommendation about the food, since it was an absolute atrocity! Poor cuts of meat, burned sauces, undercooked vegetables, overcooked chicken and lasagna swimming in grease. Very very poor indeed! The beer, on the other hand, was good.

I just love this restaurant! The food is served hot, tasty, just delicious. The service is lovely - the staff are happy to engage in conversation and make sure everything is to your satisfaction. I highly recommend Wokkas to anyone in Hull. Enjoy!
