I live very close to lambwath pub. I like to go for a very nice carvery and a beer. I also like to go for a nice catch up with friends occasionally. Staff are very pleasant its lovely and clean. I highly recommend for a carvery nice and cheap you get all the vegetables and a choice of meats turkey,beef or gammon you also get stuffing and a traditional yorkshire pudding which are lovely. If you as you may get 2 yorkshires or 2 stuffing or maybe neither. Highly recommended. nice family lunch and very cheap prices hard to beat!

My uncle and aunt brought us here on Saturday night for dinner. What a cute place, situated right next to a flowing river! I like the idea of a changing menu every month. I have not checked it out but I expect that you place the menu on your web site so that people can see what dishes that month has to offer. This must certainly be the in-place for dining. The food was simply fabulous.

We have been going to the nawaab restaurant for a number of years now, just wanted to say it gets better everytime we go. My wife loves it, also my lad. The staff are very good, and service by the management is even better, WE WOULD RECOMMEND IT ANYTIME!!!!

We are visiting my brother and sister-in-law. On the Friday they showed us round Leeds and then brought us here for dinner. The menu here is great with a very good selection of dishes and the food was simply fabulous. This has to be a very popular place to eat out. We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

15th August 2009 Went to the Box Tree for my birthday, and had the most wonderful time... The staff are very friendly, and attentive. The food was absolutely superb. I had warm goats cheese salad to start, followed by confit of duck, then creme brulee. Superb!

We had dinner at the Veggie Cafe last night as part of their Summer Nights promotion (£15 for 2 courses). The owner/chef, Kim Green, was very friendly and helpful, and is now trying to keep afloat all by herself, which is no mean feat in the current economic climate. We had a delicious gardener's soup with soda bread and a fresh-tasting watermelon and halloumi salad as starters, followed by a spicy vegetable Masala with coriander rice, and a very rich, tasty mushroom lasagna. Portions were generous. We just found room for a chocolate brownie dessert and a baked apple and blueberry pudding. We couldn't fault the food or service, and hope to come back again soon.

We are regulars at salute and we love it!! Food is excellent, service is superb and the surroundings are lovely. They always really look after us when we visit and even remember our son's name! Yes the food is not cheap but it is worth it. Well worth a visit.

My uncle and aunt brought us here for Friday evening dinner and what a treat it turned out to be! The menu was amazing with a varied and imaginative choice of dishes. This has to be a great tourist attraction which Leeds can truly be proud of. I can highly recommend this friendly restaurant.

I recently took a group of 34 people to this restaurant. I booked in advance, and was so impressed by the helpfulness of staff. When we arrived all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had some reluctant carnivores with me, who were very dubious, but by the end of the evening they were all singing praises for the food and staff. The food smelt and tasted wonderful. You left feeling you had eaten well, and had not simply filled your stomach with rubbish and oil. Very good prices, and great food and staff. High recommendation, from vegetarians, and now converted carnivors!

We ate here some time ago and I kept meaning to add this review it was a disgusting meal and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone the place is dark and dingy and the wine is some cheap £2.00 wine (that you could buy from your local supermarket) and they try and charge you £15.00 a bottle for it!! There were about 9/10 of us and some people said there meal was ok but I am speaking for myself and my partner we sent ours back and did not get a replacement as it totally put us off. Spare yourselves and don't go ever!!

We dined here on Friday 7th August 2009, it was a very good service and a very very nice meal the steak was cooked to perfection and we all enjoyed all of our meals, I would fully recommend this restaurant to anyone who was looking for that something special. They even do REAL snake on the menu (not for me though!!) We had a meal for 4 people which included starters,mains and Irish coffees two bottles of wine and several beers and it came to around £186, They gave us a 25% discount as we joined there reward scheme so in total it was around £156 which we thought was quite reasonable.

I have visited Brooks over a number of years, the food is excellent - good winelist, not too pricy - good selection of bottle beers, the decor shabby chic with eclectic art work - very stylish. Try the spam fritters - they are famous! And the puds are scrummy!
