China City – BridlingtonWe are regulars at this restaurant. I have to say the food is of the highest standard and very reasonably priced. They have an extensive menu, something to suit everyone. My favourites are King prawn in Sukka sauce and Lamb Sag. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Never had a bad meal yet. Not bad to say we have been going there for the past seven years !
Shuhag Indian Restaurant – Pontefractordered some food on the delivery at ten to eight and we rang back at 8.45 to see where our order was the man on the phone was very abrupt and was unpolite said it was on its way so we left it till 9.15 and rang back and he said it would be their in a couple of mins never turned up rang bk a 9.25 and we said if it was cold we were sending it bk the man on the phone was very rude and put the phone down on us would not recommend this Indian or service .
Garden Of India – YorkGreat ambience but very average food and be aware that there is a no alcohol policy so you cannot take you own with you. This came as a bit of a shock.
Oranaise – HeadingleyWhen I visited my parents, we came here on the Sunday and had their lunch-time buffet. It was really great! I specially liked the dhokla, channa cholé, puris and dal. This has to be the tourist attraction in Leeds. I can highly recommend this friendly restaurant.
Hansa’s Cookery School – Leeds City CentreMy wife and I visited Voda Bar & Kitchen last week for the £7.50 two course meal. We had visited before when it was Lounge 68 and was never disappointed with the meals, but on this occasion it was outstanding. The fish pie and accompanying vegetables were cooked just right and was followed by a generous portion of sticky toffee pudding in a rich sauce. The quality was excellent and the staff charming. Can't wait to go back.
Voda Lounge – HuddersfieldFantastic restaurant. The food is really very very good. Great staff who seem to really care about the quality of the food and experience and even remembered our names the next day when we passed them in the town.
Wharenui – KeighleyWhenever we visit Bradford we try and come for our lunch here. The bean enchilada is my favourite dish. The accompanying scrumptious salad is simply brilliant. It’s a great little café in a picturesque square. I can heartily recommend this café to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
South Square Vegetarian Cafe – BradfordA great location with a lovely atmosphere, Child friendly and cosy. The food is the best, top notch pub grub with a few delicious wild cards.
Haworth Old Hall – KeighleyPaid a visit to the Embers restaurant on Sat 30th August.... really disappointed...very poor service and overpriced average food, loads of fish on the menu which my wife is allergic too coupled with a special Saturday menu limited the selection to no starters and 3 mains. We will not be returning and not recommending this restaurant to anyone..... regards
Embers of Haworth – KeighleyPrashad Restaurant is going places... Head Chef, the famous Mrs. P. has,for the third year running, landed a mention in The Which Good Food Guide! Only the Top 1000 restraurants in the country are listed, so WELL DONE Prashad! Managed at front of house by Mr.P.and son Bobby it is very much a family affair. The family are passionate about the "refreshing blend of Gujarati, Punjabi and south Asian vegetarian" food in which they specialise. "Mrs. P. learned her skills from her grandmother and she is passing on her culinary secrets to and daughter- in- law Minal. Mrs.P has gained many awards, including the national South Asian Chef Competition and Yorkshire Forward's Chef of the Year titles. So runs a recent article in The Yorkshire Post." We are so proud to call this talented and hardworking family our friends, and it is great to see Prashad go from strengh to strengh.
Prashad – BradfordBest Chinese restaurant and take away ever. We've tried others but they not a patch on Great Wall. Fab food, lovely staff and good value for money.
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, The – BrighouseJust had a disappointing meal 31.08.2008. Booked for 7pm left after 2 courses at 8.05pm! Would have been 7.55pm but they took 10 mins before taking credit card. No breathing space between starter and main. Ordered tuna from specials board and not asked on order rare, medium etc. The piece delivered was of a lovely size but cooked well done! Have tasted better from Tescos tinned own in BRINE! The rocket salad was undressed but the courgette side dish fine. When waiter asked if meal to our liking I said "no" and I explained that I found tuna over done, I was given an "oh". I am disappointed in both content of the meal and service. Will think twice before going back or recommending.
La Bella Vita – GarforthThis is one of the best Indian restaurants i have been to.the staff are very friendly food is first class
Spice Hut – ThorneWhile we were visiting my sister-in-law and her husband, we came here for our lunch on Saturday. I had the vegetable crumble with cheese on top. It was simply divine. The accompanying salad was absolutely scrumptious. I am a vegetarian so I have a pretty good idea about vegetarian dishes. This café is certainly a gem. I look forward to our next visit north.
South Square Vegetarian Cafe – BradfordThis restaurant never ceases to impress me and can now boast the amazing achievement of having impressed my picky husband. He made short work of the yakitori followed by the sirloin of beef and greatly enjoyed the antics of the chef, who manages to make you feel like you're not waiting for your food as he cooks it in front of you. My vegetable tempura was perfect as always, as was my fillet of lamb, and the plum wine was superb. Will continue to visit regularly.
Wasabi Teppanyaki – Leeds City CentreBeautiful Food, Excellent Quality. Nice atmosphere and staff. Fantastic place to dine.
Mezzaluna Ristorante – Barnsleywent to this restaurant 4 a friends birthday and really enjoyed our night. the staff are extremely friendly and the service is very good. the place is very authentic and is decorated beautifully. we loved the meal and especially the desserts. it is fairly expensive but it was definitely worth it for a one off occasion.
