Omar's offers a warm and hospitable environment that is hard to beat. It chooses not to follow the current trend for wooden floors, modern table arrangements and trendy lighting, offering a more homely and comfortable dining experience. The service is personal and efficient and the extensive menu is superb. Mix and match Karahis are a speciality and definitely appeal to the adventurous. Be prepared for the heat though, as their trademark sauce can be on the fiery side for the uninitiated. If in doubt, request it mild! I prefer to ask for it Asian style and wash it down with an ice cold Cobra. Yes, it's one of the few licensed restaurants in the city. Give it a go, you won't regret it!

This pub is a very comfortable pub which sells great food and even better ale.Its seems to be the place to go to if you happen to be huddersfield area. The menu consists of home cooked food served to you will the warm faces of the new landlord Peter Murphy or as he would put it his righhand man Ashley Coley.

I travel up from London to see my best friend in the whole world who lives in Cleckheaton, Troutie -- and ALDO'S is always our very first port of call! I can't rate it highly enough - you have to go, you will not be disappointed I promise you! It is truly brilliant fun and always packed, every single night we have been. Food is fabulous with great staff, and superb value for money... it makes me want to move to Cleckheaton! This place will be going for years!

Being Coeliac and holidaying with my friend from Germany, we were thrilled with the intimate, inclusive atmosphere, the exquisite food and the confidence to know my food intolerance was understood and did not detract from the wonderful menu choices. Can't wait to go back.

Had a 21st here for our daughter as a party of 8. Food was the best Chinese we have had with all dishes being excellent and plentiful. The Duck for starters was brilliant. We had some reservations when reading other reviews about the service, but we could not have asked for better. Friendly and helpful at all times. A fantastic evening out making this a special occasion. Well recommended and we will definitely be back.

although the service was good i felt the price charged for the meal was very expensive for the portions served. A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED.

The table was booked for 6 and we were left stood outside until 6.15 only to enter a freezing cold silent restaurant, which didn't change until we left. The waitress knew nothing about the menu nor anything relating to what was in the food. The duck starter was full of grit and the mussels were tasteless. Scallop and prawn kebab was sparse and tasteless, as was the lamb. We struggled to eat the food with the background of 2 microwaves constantly in use and waitress/ chef small talk. Two other tables complained and we had one meal taken from the bill. VERY DISSAPIONTING- AVOID.

What a fantastic little pub. Like a little ship inside (all oak curved ceilings) Superb pies too, and really good value. Great place to go while the wife's shopping in Harvey Nichols.

Found this great little cafe that serves great coffee and amazing carrot cake which is made by Kate, one of the proprietors. Interesting sandwiches and all free trade. Very friendly, with cool music and free wi-fi
