Shama Balti – HuddersfieldI go hear at least 6 times a year! by far my favourite restaurant! I’m actually going back there tonight, and I am sure I will have a great time!
Shorthorn Inn – NorthallertonI have visited the Cucina restaurant on a couple of occasions i find that It has a very friendly but professional workers the atmosphere is amazing. The food is absolutely exquisite. My evenings i have dined with them have been fantastic i would recommended this place.
Cucina Cafe Bar and Restaurant – MorleyHaving spend several months in China over the past few years I went to Red Chilli with some Customers. It was so good I went back with some other Customers 2 days later .The hot pots are spicy hot although excellent and the steamed fish is the best I have eaten in UK . Well worth a visit and the best Chinese in Leeds.
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreI have been to the Pagoda many times since it opened (I live nearby). I have celebrated special occasions (large party), or been for a quiet meal for two. I have yet to be disappointed.. the staff will bend over backwards to help; even mixing and matching the already varied menu. To be honest, the wine list isn't brilliant, but the 'house' choices are palatable. Go for the 'sizzlers'...my favourite! If you are a large party, ask them to mix and match, they will just recommend a feast or vary the menu. One downside....I went for Sunday lunch, once....didn't enjoy it! guess I'm more of a roast beef and Yorkshire person! I have no connection with this place other than that of a satisfied (and regular) customer.
Pagoda Cantonese Restaurant – WakefieldWe have been to China City several times, great selection of dishes; I don’t know how they do it for the money. The service is first class, we have taken the kids and their mates for 3 birthday parties, they love it.
China City Restaurant – Castlefordspot on
Rose and Crown – HuddersfieldFood was about average. other Thai in north Leeds are better, wasn’t sure everything was organic tasted no better than the other Thai around and you are not charged silly organic prices, overall staff very good, thank you d little
Thai Jantra – WetherbyRichmond is a lovely Yorkshire town to visit and the Frenchgate Restaurant would in any event be "worth the detour". The meal was delicious, much helped by an appropriately solicitous host who really knew his stuff about both food and wine.
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondAt first I wasn't enthralled with the idea of going out for Pizza, I'm more of a steak man. However our dining experience at Pizza Express was excellent! Despite my concerns of the menu not being for me I found it to be relatively extensive. I had a great portobello mushroom starter and the choice of different pizza's was fab! Me and my wife shared a pizza and large salad and it gave a great mix, a really good meal. What surprised me though was how attentive the service was, the waitress that served us really seemed to care that we were having a good time, and was chatty without been imposing. In my younger days I used to be a waiter while at uni, so I'm normally critical, but she really was very good. The restaurant had a nice relaxed feel and has been designed smartly. At the end I couldn't believe the bill, between the two of us we'd had two starters our mains a bottle of wine and a beer for me, all for just over £35! I couldn't believe it, a great night out and excellent value for money.
Pizza Express – IlkleyWe arrived in Richmond for a couple of days walking and looked around the town to find somewhere to stay. As we walked up Frenchgate we passed the 'Frenchgate Restaurant & Hotel' and immediately liked the calm, sophisticated look of the hotel. We looked in and booked in. The dining room was nicely balanced between classically traditional and a more modern bistro look with everything lovingly and carefully presented. The food was delicious and unusual and given the perfect introduction by 'house speciality' gin & tonics in the beautiful restful garden. I chose the hot smoked salmon starter and Tian of beef - both intriguing - and my wife had the Wild mushroom gnocchi - brilliant- followed by a braised lamb shank - very meaty. We both indulged in puddings - I (being a bloke!) chose the Chocolate fondant and Sally went for the Rhubarb Bavarois - both delicious. The house white was perfectly chilled and dry and our bottle of Rioja beautifully balanced. A great meal well presented with a lot of thought. Sally would have liked something a lighter on offer among the starters but I couldn’t ask for more. We had a great stay enhanced by good weather and the brilliant walking in the Dales. The icing on the cake is trusting your own judgement and choosing a good place to stay and eat. We were not disappointed.
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondWere to begin? i travelled up to Hull for Easter weekend for a much awaited family get together. On the Sunday we all decided that we would go out and have a lovely roast dinner and had heard about The Hase in Hessle and how good the food and the service was so we thought we would try it out. as soon as we walked in you could feel the friendly, happy atmosphere and was shown to our seats by a very polite waitress who for the rest of our evening was brilliant. The food was amazing and was surprised to receive that quality of food from a pub. I would just like to thank the owners of the Hase (Carole Maughan and Dave Ainsworth) for making the evening so enjoyable and will not hesitate to go again. Thank you.
Hase – HullLike the new premises, great ambience with singer/musician, holiday feel. Got the tandoori seabass with noodles, very good, although should come with a side-veg/sideline. Partner got chicken ala creme, sauce a little bland although overall he enjoyed the dish. The food at the restaurant very well presented. Overall a great place to dine ..although One snag.. we were rather annoyed on receiving bill that a 'service charge ' of £5 was added for 2 to dine! Surely this should be on the menu in small-print(or is it..in magnify print!?.) plus why a SC?.. come on.. We are in Rothwell not London!

Salute @ The White Swan – RothwellI've been going to this family owned restaurant for over 30 years. The chef is now in his seventies and absolutely no one in Hull comes close to his skills. No meal is ever a disappointment. I've never seen anyone complain.
The Lantern Restaurant – HullThis is all of my families favourite Chinese Buffet Restaurant. It has a wide variety of dishes which are all delicious, and on an evening there are so many more to choose from, we are always spoilt for choice! The Eastern Court is also very contemporary (decor wise) which we love. We have recommended it to all our friends and work colleagues and those that have been have not been disappointed. We go at least once a fortnight. We love it. It certainly outdoes every other buffet restaurant we have tried...and believe me, we have tried many.
Eastern Court Cantonese Restaurant – CastlefordLovely new premises although I still preferred the old premises at Woodlesford. The food is still great and the ambience lovely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Salute @ The White Swan – RothwellI fully concur with Mr Spongy`s astute observation of the Queens Hotel, however I hasten to add, they have much more than just cream cakes in their repertoire, however a word of warning ! stay clear when they hold a karaoke evening as the landlord a "young bull of a man" often sings like a loon which can make one quite nauseous
