My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal on the 9th Sept. Food was excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Service and friendly staff. Would certainly return when in the area.

Lovely Sunday Lunch Really enjoyed our Sunday Lunch, very very tasty indeed.

The food as always was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We would recommend to anyone. We have eaten a few times before and are looking forward to the next time.

Visited on Sunday and had Sunday lunch. Really nice county pub, food was lovely and you got plenty for your money.

From the website we were really excited to come here, especially after two nights of cold wet camping. On arrival staff were friendly, however we asked for a highchair when booking and were told they had none left once we arrived. Luckily we had a bench seat to sit on so was okay. Starters were nice, unfortunately the beef wasn’t great on the roast and the vegetables were quite mushy like they had been cooked a while ago and reheated. The rest of the food was good so we didn’t want to mention this to staff as they were so busy. The thing that made us quite uncomfortable was the way the manger (we think she was the manager) spoke to the rest of the staff. As we were seated in the bar area we overheard many conversations where staff were spoken to unfairly and these conversations were easy to hear from where we were sat which wasn’t nice to hear or for someone to be spoken to in that way. We are hoping it was just a stressful bank holiday weekend situation.

This is our second visit for a meet up with friends and both times have been really good. The food is tasty and hot, service is exemplary, we had a thoroughly good time.

Good choice of dishes for any need. Products are fresh and delicious. Most of the dishes are served in small or large size. Desserts are homemade and excellent. Breakfast is excellent as well. I tried the Scottish kippers and scrumbled eggs with smoked salmon. Bread, butter and jam/marmelade are of high quality. Yogurt comes from a Yorkshire farm and it is very delicate. I think this is one of the best place I have ever eaten in UK in the last years.

We were a party of 6 and enjoyed a really lovely meal . We had Sunday dinners , vegetarian meal and burgers. Every meal was beautifully cooked and we were served by a really lovely guy. Would definitely return if ever in the area agsin

Went with a friend and my dog. Easy to park, lovely building and very helpful staff. The food was good and we enjoyed our lunch, both of us are veggies.

A favourite pub with a a great restaurant great for a weekend away. Food is always delicious and always a couple of vegetarian choices. Bar is lively on a weekend with a lovely atmosphere, real ales, great selection of gins and a whisky menu with some unusual varieties. Great service and great service. Highly recommend a visit

Enjoyable stay, me and my friend visited after completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks, we had made a reservation for food and had also booked a room for the night. The staff were very friendly and the food was great, lovely hearty food just after a big hike, I had the steak, cooked very well. A lovely cosy restaurant with views of lovely Yorkshire greenery. Breakfast was also great, a good selection of hot and cold food and endless juices and coffees. Would recommend a visit.

Stayed and ate at Craven Arms while on a 2 day cycling tour with my adult son. Lovely food, reasonably priced, with excellent whisky range. Good breakfast too. Very helpful staff. Try to avoid staying on the A65 side of the building - with windows open on a hot night was noisy.
