Excellent food and service. Good value

We have eaten at The Bricklayers a number of times over the past few weeks, taking friends and everyone has been impressed. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The varied menu offers a wide choice of dishes, each expertly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We will definitely return!

Lovely venue, very welcoming and the landlord was really pleasant and accommodating of me and my family. Fantastic steak - we will certainly be back soon to sample more from the menu!

We returned to the Dove on Saturday 20th September to celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary, and we were not disappointed. There were 16 guests in our party and they all agreed everything was perfect. Food was delicious and no one was left waiting to be served. There were 3 Coeliacs and one vegetarian in our group and we were all catered for. The service was excellent and all the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Family midweek lunch. All of our food was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The menu was varied, lovely fish, steak, pork dinner, pasta and vegetarian dishes. The restaurant got quite busy which was great. Nice outside sitting area. Great choice of drinks. The service was great, even accommodated my brothers desire for extra custard! My cheese board was fab! Great value for money. We will definitely come again !!

Let me just say- what a lovely meal! The food was absolutely amazing, really lovely quality and so tasty. Portion sizes were perfect and the service was excellent. The girl that served us was fantastic; unfortunately didn’t get her name. They offered a member of our party a free pudding as it was almost his birthday. Fantastic day overall.
