It was a lovely meal.MY son ordered a mix grill but the chicken was too dry so he complained about it

Service for drinks and ordering food was great. The wait on food was very long. Main course was nice. The wait for the mains to be cleared took again along time. Usually we have been asked at this point if we would like desserts. After 10+ minutes we asked, to only be informed the kitchen had closed 5 minutes ago and no desserts would /could be served. On this occasion we were disappointed with the service and will question where we return as service has no been great the last few time at Ellenders, such a pity!

Lovely food , generous portions , very nice staff but considering how few people were in , slow service and please stock more zero beers , like Guinness which is better than the original , great for drivers and those trying to lose weight , thanks , we will be back !

Great place to eat and meet. The food is great and the staff are very welcoming. We should be proud to have this venue.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday for mine and my daughters birthday. We were a party of 5. The food is freshly cooked and was lovely. The service was very good. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this place.

Shown to our table, given menu, told what pies were available and said he would return in a couple of minutes to take our order. People were arriving and shown their tables and orders being taken. Despite efforts to attract attention, without begging, and waiting for 20 minutes we got up and left. Went to V-Ate and despite not having a table booked we were found a table. Service and food was excellent.

Great food, service was slow and selection of desserts available was poor.

I was a little disappointed with the menu; all meat and no fish. I feel restaurants are catering for vegans rather than vegetarians these days. I had to ask for an adult version of the scampi and chips on the kids menu. The waitress had to ask the chef if that was ok! The only other option for me was vegetable spring rolls! Very poor. However, the rest of the family enjoyed their roast dinner.

Went for lunch with a friend yesterday. We had the haddock and steak and ale pie. Both dishes were delicious and well worth the £10 cost. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Our food arrived promptly and as already said tasted delicious. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere and I would definitely recommend. Hope to visit again soon

We had a fabulous Sunday Lunch at the Kitchen yesterday Staff were friendly and the service was quick even though they were quite busy The only issue we had was that we asked for Diet Coke but when we got it it was nasty supermarket cola (we subsequently noticed on the menu that it ws advertised as Cola ) We did feel that as we had requested Diet Coke (and Diet Coke is sold by the bottle on the menu) we should have been brought Diet Coke or at least given a choice Overall apart from that though - Very good and we will certainly go back

Beautiful food, haddock/whale & chips and Steak n Ale Pie with creamy, smooth mash. Thoroughly enjoyed by us all. Especially at £10 per meal, not able to dine out due to cost of living, so it was definitely a much needed treat, due to a stressful time. Staff were lovely too, as was surroundings. Definitely returning.

Lovely lunch- food was tasty and served piping hot.

We had a lovely meal but the service wasn't great unfortunately. Had to wait quite a while for our order to be taken and then had to wait further for our drinks to be brought to the table. It wasn't particularly busy so it was disappointing. The food however was really hot when it came and very taste.
