Only one waitress on so service was fairly slow. Food however was worth the wait. Great value. We will return.

Relaxed atmosphere, lovely food. Party of 5 of which four of us had haddock and chips which was delicious and one had pie which was also very good. Great value for money with their £10 dishes. Very friendly efficient waitresses

Lovely food tonight 26/3. Only one waitress who did an excellent job on her own. However, for the second time no mushroom stroganofff available despite my friend ringing this afternoon and checking to make sure it would be available. The reason "couldn't find the rice" which was strange. Disappointing.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, good food and excellent service. Very good value for money. Only criticism - please offer plain buns for burgers as well as brioche!

Nice food at a reasonable price, although service was a little slow and our server obviously new and lacked knowledge on food served… but was very pleasant. Only slight disappointment was desserts not available that night and the sticky toffee pudding was rather dry. This didn’t detract from our enjoyment of the evening overall, very nice atmosphere.

Eaten here many times now and it never disappoints and I must say the pie never ever disappoints.

Last night 15th March the family had a lovely meal we all had something different and we weren't disappointed food was piping hot delicious the staff are great nothing too much trouble and nice relaxing stmosphere

Great Communication with Booking staff prior to a lunch for 12 people on a Friday . Table was set up beautifully and coffee order was taken and served promptly and efficiently . There was a varied menu choice and three different pies to choose from amongst other choices . Everything arrived quietly and without fuss , hot and beautifully presented . 10 of our party of 12 had never visited before and were surprised at the quality , quantity and value for money for their food choices . Some expressed their surprise at this hidden gem of a place and vowed to come again to eat . Also a great place to visit for coffee and cake with a mixture of seating arrangements to suit all . Rest room facilities are spotless and Staff smartly presented and quietly efficient . A great Community and business resource .

I took my mum and family members to The Kitchen on Mothers Day. We and all other customers were in one corner of the restaurant. Unfortunately there was a family with VERY noisy children on the table next to us, which really spoilt the atmosphere as we could'nt hear each other talking. The food was not good, the vegatables were hard. The potatoes were barely able to be cut they were so hard from being overheated. The meat was nice. We had to keep calling the waitress back because she did'nt listen properly when we was asking for extra gravy etc. All in all not a great experience. Which was very bad especially as it was Mothers Day.

Went for Mother’s Day and the afternoon tea was brilliant. We had different dietary needs in our party and all were catered for very nicely. Would go back again.

Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere. Staff were really friendly too. ……Just a bit disappointed no Ales on tap. Food service was a bit slow, but when it came out it was all really hot and fresh so don’t mind the wait.

Very long time waiting for our order to be taken. The food came out quickly but some of our order was missing, then arrived after we had finished the meal. The table took ages to be cleared and waited over 15 minutes for our bill to be brought over.

Absolutely sublime! Foxglove never disappoints, a wonderful dining experience; cosy and welcoming with exquisite, amazingly inventive and delicious food! Can't wait for our next visit

Very impressed by our recent visit to you food we tried was special offer. Prices for February and we all enjoyed our choices. We eat out every week and the offers enticed us in. If you do more offers we will be back.

Enjoyed an early evening meal at The Kitchen on Friday 23rd Feb. Group of 3 which included an elderly relative. Nice round table. Due to staff shortages, (kitchen and front of house), the restaurant was having to close early, however, this did not impact us at all. The staff were welcoming, cheerful and attentive. I hope the management team will recognise their staff on duty this particular evening.

It was a lovely meal.MY son ordered a mix grill but the chicken was too dry so he complained about it
