had a birthday meal here with my family, wow, would recommend to everybody the staff are lovely lovely people.

i had a lovely time , food was very fresh and delicious , definitely will go back .

discovered Acropolis after a friend recommended it. Superb foods and particularly the sheftalia. I have purchased 5 tubs of tahini which is as good as any i have tasted. Will be a regular visitor in the future.

Firstly, The food was cold when it finally arrived at 11pm, having been seated for two hours. They had a complete disregard for any allergies as one of my colleagues has wheat allergy and was given pasta, despite explaining this to them. The pasta was taken away and a single carrot was returned in its place. After waiting so long for the food it was poor in standard and not what you would expect for £29.95 per head. Our main concern was the amount of people that were crammed into the venue, despite being told a maximum of 90 people there was a lot more than that, 70 people dining on the main seating and then 70 waiting to dine, added to which the amount of people who were just at the bar. Having spoken to other people this was the main course of concern for everyone – I have reported this problem to the fire service, because upon entering were advised by the hostess to take an alternative route to get into the venue because of the amount of people at the bar, which causes concern of how you would get out?I personally would never visit this venue again, because when speaking to the manager on the evening he did offer any explanation or way of resolving this situation. It was awful and a lady fell downstairs due to traffic on those stairs. Avoid this place for your safety.

Having read your write up, I went there with real expectation. Greeted with "Hiya"; could not find reservation; table partly laid; after being seated glasses just thrown not set as should be; water served in a Pyrex jug; waiter service is not to a std expected in a high class hotel; table was not very clean-stain from previous occupants glasses were seen; food very salty; pudding dry and microwave heated. However, Venison was very nice.

Was here for a hen party meal...absolutely amazing. highly recommended x

I love Etsu! I go there frequently with my boyfriend who adores the katsu curry. I always pig out on veggie sushi when we go there. We went tonight and I can still taste the sushi. Everytime I go there because of the food, the ambience and the friendly atmosphere, I am contented and in heaven. Today the waitresses were very accommodating (as always) and one of them let me take a crane (as I had donated to the tsunami appeal) I showed me how to flap it's wings by pulling the tail. Awesome. My boyfriend and I rate Etsu above all the Japanese restaurants we have been to for food and overall experience.

The Egg is lovely, there is no other word. The trek up the stairs is so worth and builds up an appetite for the delicious food there. The space is amazing, like the coolest possible loft apartment and it usually has a really nice buzz about it, lots of people, good music and the interesting artwork hung on the walls. The smell of food can make the strictest dieter crumble and the soups are usually fantastic served with doorstop bread, as is the cheese on toast. As my friend and I were saying, we'd never usually order salad anywhere but we'd make an exception for their salads because they're so darn nice. Get your bum down there now and enjoy some soul warming soup, bean burgers, cheese on toast, garlic bread and salads.

we have been to egos Liverpool on several occasions to celebrate bdays etc and have had top quality service and food

i have eaten in many restaurants in merseyside and across the country and i can honestly say ego is the best (the one in hope street Liverpool) the service the food and staff so attentive would highly recommend

Great service and friendly staff, good value for money and clean. Location is great with an upstairs conservatory that has a sliding roof in the summer!

The one and only Master Chef, best in Liverpool, not been for a while, the Wife has a broken foot, so yes the staff are so friendly.

We went Fri' afternoon. Great food, attentive staff and a great feeling about the place. The best Plaice dish my partner had ever had.. We will be returning soon..

Visited for 3rd time last week with 3 friends. The food is fantastic, | ordered soup which was really tasty but wish I'd ordered whitebait, which I love, tasted my friends ,it was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Mixed seafood platter was fantastic, my friends all said how good their dishes were, french onion soup and a pork dish with risotto,best risotto they have ever tasted. Service was good, and lovely ambience, will definitely be going back

been twice now, once for breakfast in the midweek and today for Sunday meal after viewing the Magritte exhibition. Food excellent on both occasions, staff attentive and friendly. Catered well for an age range from 6-56, and for meat eaters and vegetarians. Will definitely go again - maybe try afternoon tea next.
