Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreService was not as good as expected. There had been an overbooking at the time that we were due to eat and staff left us waiting near the door for 10 minutes for our table. Although the food was very good, it seemed a little over-priced. With improved service and cheaper pricing, I would recommend.
Spice Lounge – Liverpool City Centrenando's serves the best tasting chicken I have ever been served..delicious & succulent
Nando’s – Liverpool City Centredefo go to uni best in town been 5 times now love it
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreI have been to Bistro Pierre many, many times. No matter what time of year the food, service and ambience never falters. BP is excellent value for money. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreEat here several times in the last eight weeks. Food is always fresh and great value. No draught beer but a brilliant selection of bottled beers from around the world at very reasonable prices. Good wine menu for a new young business and friendly floor staff. House wine starts at just £6.95 a bottle and is very drinkable but the also sell a very nice Chateau Neuf Du Pape for about £28 as well as a variety of other wines in between. Can be very busy at weekends so would recommend booking in advance. Also very nice place to enjoy a bottle of wine or two with nibbles and watch the world go by if you can get a table by the window.
The Clove Hitch Bistro and Bar – Liverpool City CentreRe Gt Charlotte St. branch Liverpool: Went (2 of us), on a Tuesday lunch time, beginning of October. Never been to this branch, but have been several times to one in Hoylake. Just wanted a simple reasonable meal - & (thought) knew what to expect. Decor etc: Dark, dingy, grubby feel- (should have taken as a hint) . Ploughmans was not available- so my friend chose all day breakfast- not great I had vegetable & noodle dish, with added chicken- hot chilli- but cold temperature. Friend had to plump for 3rd choice of lager as again, choice not available. Went to toilet- The 'check list' said checked regularly- but I dont know what they check, not state of toilets obviously: Ist - lock broken, 2nd, no paper, 3rd baby nappy on floor, 4th had to do although still no lock. Generally poor state of affairs
Wetherspoons – Liverpool City CentreI had the Haddock and it was simply devine, and my partner had the Mussels, again so delicious. Portions were very large, and we struggled to finish our desserts! Will definitely return!
The Italian Club Fish – Liverpool City CentreWould not recommend this restaurant. Meals lacked taste were totally bland and poor service. Not a positive dining experience at all.
Mei Mei – Liverpool City Centrei have just been 2 bistro pierre on Saturday night (9th oct) and i was so amazed by absolutely everything! The decor was just right, the food was devine and the service was spot on - considering that it was so busy, the staff were so polite and efficient. All i can say is that me and my husband had a delightful evening and will definitely recommend it to family and friends. will see you soon bistro pierre...10/10 for everything!
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreWent on Saturday evening and found the food to be very good. Starters of Jawaneh (grilled chicken wings), makmour (a tomato and aubergine dish) and kibbeh (mincemeat in breadcrumbs) were excellent. Mains of chicken and chips for the youngest eater, Bamieh (Lamb stew with okra and tomato) and a chicken dish were all very tasty. Very reasonable prices and friendly service meant a great meal was had by all. Will go again.
Sahara – Liverpool City CentreI highly recommend this shop, the staff are very helpful, pleasant and the service is very efficient, I visited this store on the 06/10/10 at around 8pm and really enjoyed the food, I will be visiting more often.
Bistro Franc – Liverpool City CentreVisited Yums on Sunday 26th September after a previous pleasant visit some time ago. We were offered a cramped and still dirty table near to the open door where outside the restaurant, a number of customers were smoking as well as at least one member of staff. The buffet was atrocious, there was no egg fried rice available and what dishes were on offer looked tired, congealed and inedible, there were a number of staff milling around although nobody seemed intent on refilling any of the trays with fresh food. A disappointment and I for one certainly won't be visiting Yums again,
Yums Oriental Buffet – Liverpool City Centrewent on Saturday and had a beautiful meal. Food just perfect, service very friendly and professional, great with my little boy. The owner stopped to talk to us to explain about some of the dishes. Have been recommending this to all my friends. Go there, you won't be disappointed.
Lunya – Liverpool City CentreDONT go here if you have got a large party of guests as they get the order wrong and try to blame you they miss things of the order and again they try to blame you
Bacchus Taverna – Liverpool City CentreI love this restaurant! Food is great and atmosphere is brilliant :-)
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreWhen we went to zorbas it was a disgrace we were greeted with a warm welcome but when we received are main course there were foreign bodies cooked in the food so we will not be going there again
Zorbas – Liverpool City CentreWent to the Maharaja with two vegetarian friends, and shared the vegetarian banquet (even though I'm not a veggie). The food and service were fantastic, and I experienced dishes I had never tried before (eg Indian soup). The restaurant is very good value for money, and I would certainly go there again, when I visit Liverpool.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City Centre2 courses plus a piece of home-made dessert, £12.50. Available until 6.30pm Wednesday and Thursday and until 5.30pm Fridays (excludes Bank Holidays).
