Went last night after reading good recommendations. Very enjoyable meal. Shared the cold platter of dips and olives to start, a good size portion for 2. Main meal I had chorizo and chicken pasta and hubby had burger with home cooked chips. So full couldn't attempt the desserts, though will try next time as all sounded very tasty. Staff very pleasant and not obtrusive. Give it a go, sure you wont be disappointed!

Went to Savina last weekend and ordered what was supposed to be a chicken enchilada. What arrived certainly wasn't anything like any enchilida I have ever had. It was covered in some strange tasting orange sauce and aren't enchilada's supposed to be baked on the top with cheese? This wasn't. The chicken pieces were very dry and some still had fatty pieces on them. It tasted like the dish was a leftover from the day before. It was also like the chef had only just started that day and had never done a Mexican meal before. Expensive too for a lunchtime. Definitely won't be going again.

Wow! Went there for the first time last night with my fiancee. Got a private booth, an attentive and friendly waiter (but not the lad who bought the food who was abrupt and bordering on rude) still it didn't spoil it as the food was fabulous and quite reasonable prices too. Will go back again asap!

Went there with my friend, was hugely disappointed!!! Not authentic Mexican food at all, cooked by an Indian chef, say no more!!!!! Oh and it's really overpriced as well. Enchilada, bit of rice, shandy, £30 for two at lunchtime, proper rip off. Nuff said

Service was not as good as expected. There had been an overbooking at the time that we were due to eat and staff left us waiting near the door for 10 minutes for our table. Although the food was very good, it seemed a little over-priced. With improved service and cheaper pricing, I would recommend.

I have been to Bistro Pierre many, many times. No matter what time of year the food, service and ambience never falters. BP is excellent value for money. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

Eat here several times in the last eight weeks. Food is always fresh and great value. No draught beer but a brilliant selection of bottled beers from around the world at very reasonable prices. Good wine menu for a new young business and friendly floor staff. House wine starts at just £6.95 a bottle and is very drinkable but the also sell a very nice Chateau Neuf Du Pape for about £28 as well as a variety of other wines in between. Can be very busy at weekends so would recommend booking in advance. Also very nice place to enjoy a bottle of wine or two with nibbles and watch the world go by if you can get a table by the window.

Re Gt Charlotte St. branch Liverpool: Went (2 of us), on a Tuesday lunch time, beginning of October. Never been to this branch, but have been several times to one in Hoylake. Just wanted a simple reasonable meal - & (thought) knew what to expect. Decor etc: Dark, dingy, grubby feel- (should have taken as a hint) . Ploughmans was not available- so my friend chose all day breakfast- not great I had vegetable & noodle dish, with added chicken- hot chilli- but cold temperature. Friend had to plump for 3rd choice of lager as again, choice not available. Went to toilet- The 'check list' said checked regularly- but I dont know what they check, not state of toilets obviously: Ist - lock broken, 2nd, no paper, 3rd baby nappy on floor, 4th had to do although still no lock. Generally poor state of affairs

I had the Haddock and it was simply devine, and my partner had the Mussels, again so delicious. Portions were very large, and we struggled to finish our desserts! Will definitely return!
