Visited Sapporo Teppanyaki in Liverpool last night for the first time...it was amazing! From the moment that you walked in the door the staff were so friendly and made you feel really welcome. The restaurant itself is open plan, with a unique table layout; each one featuring it's very own cooking station and highly entertaining and extremely skilled chef. For starters, we sampled the hot chilli prawns and tempura vegetables (both of which were fabulous). Mains were cooked in front of us on the "Teppanaki plate" - egg fried rice, sauteed potatoes and vegetables with your choice of meat. We had Duck Breast Teriyaki and Garlic Beef Fillet. For the vegetarian amongst us it was the Oko-Nomi Yaki (thats a Japanese Savoury Pancake!). Simply delicious! The dishes are cooked on the central cooking stations and the chefs put on a great display and are very entertaining. I have a restricted diet and cannot eat and dairy/lactose products. I advised staff before going and they could not have been more accommodating. My dish was cooked separately in the kitchen area to avoid any "contamination" - all of the staff were more than happy to assist, making me feel as though I was being no trouble to them. All of this was finished off with a "Long Island Iced Tea" (mixed with Sake) in the relaxed bar area. This restaurant comes highly recommended from us and a must if visiting Liverpool.

A group of 6 girls went to Lunya on Bank Holiday monday. we had a beautiful meal. The food was amazing, superb cava and lovely service. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Have just booked for a big girly night out as the cocktails were superb. We were even sat next to an international footballer - no idea who he was, but he was a hunk!

Emperor's new clothes - pretensions of greatness but no substance of any kind. We went the summer before last and had a wonderful meal. This time (2/5/10) Marshall appeared to have been beguiled by the fine art/fine dining movement but clearly lacks the skills to pull it off, the end result being a confusing combination of mismatched flavours which left one completely unsatisfied in every sense. The once magnificent cheese board has now diminished to a somber looking bunch of dried out specimens that would better grace a Christmas buffet down at the local sports and social club. This really was a terribly disappointing experience from a restaurant which promised so much. Marshall needs to rethink or move on, quickly.

We love the Yuet Ben! We think it's the best Chinese in LIverpool. Fantastic food, crispy duck is the best ever (they make their own pancakes and bring you more if you run out, yummy hoi sin too), crispy chilli beef delicious too as were the rest of the meals sampled by our party. Attentive staff who were willing to engage in some light banter when we ordered two starters and the rest of our party only ordered one "So you'll be eating your second starter and they'll be sitting there watching you?" Hilarious. Very pleasantly accommodated the birthday cake I had brought for my brother and even provided a candle and music without prior warning. Please go there, you will not be disappointed. We'll be going again very soon.

I have been a fan of zizzi since the first time I was taken there a year ago. Since then I have taken family and friends there for lunches and dinners and never was I disappointed. However, I must write of a really negative experience I recently had. A part from the cold draft coming from the kitchen door, which made me shiver for the entire duration of the meal, my arancini were clearly from the night before's service, just a little warmed up, probably in a microwave. The pizza dough was undercooked, it had very little tomato sauce so it was very dry; same goes for my son's pizza. My husband's fish course came with hard as rock potatoes. Overall, not a satisfying Sunday lunch. What a disappointment...

We have dined here several times and tried various meals and every single one has been exceptional. The staff are very welcoming but not imposing the decor is amazing. Whilst the prices may seem slightly higher than some, the quality of the food make this good value. Highly Recommend- Enjoy we did.

Tried The Munro for the first time on Friday night(23April) the food and the service was outstanding.I haven't been to a restaurant in ages where all of us enjoyed every mouthful of food. The taste and freshness of the food was unbelievable and we heard the main chef was off and the sous chef took his place for that night. We had the salmon, duck and steak and all was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great too. Definitely will return in the near future.I would recommend the Munro to any great foodie out there and believe me I am fussy!

I really love Gusto and go regularly. I have had romantic meals for two, dining on lobster and champagne and also taken the kids whilst they love making their own pizzas at great value. The service is great and a good menu to choose from. I think great value aswell.

Never again would i go there !!!! The chicken satay sticks were actually made from ranicid off chicken which you could smell. I complained to the waiter who removed the chicken off the buffet and agreed wit me that it was in fact rotten meat by then the damage is done and you dont want to eat another thing. I was given £1.60 off my bill and luckily never got food poisoning !

Passage To India, Bold Street, Liverpool. This Restaurant is top class in all fields, service, food, and attention to detail and the most important, great value for money. There welcoming & friendliness to all there customers is the final touch to make me visit this top Indian restaurant on a regular basis.Try there Sunday Indian Buffet for £9.95 with a wide range of starters & mains this is a great way to introduce some one to the taste of India.

This is about as good as it gets for Mexican food in this area. The old favourites are all offered, but they are tastier than usual, and not so greasy and unhealthy. There are less commonly offered delights too.( For those of you who've seen "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" where Johnnie Depp travels around eating pueco pi bil and shoots the chef when he finds one that's perfect,- try cochinita pi bil at Savina, but please don't shoot the chef as we want to go back, and this is about my favourite dish on the menu...) Definitely highly recommended!

worth a visit, excellent website, menu and restaurant. Good atmosphere, but less impressed with the portion of cheese to share, overpriced @ £8+ for sparrow size plate. 4 crackers, + four wafer thin slices of cheese+ teaspoon of chutney and half slice of beetroot!! que sorpresa! overkeen waiter cleared plates away whilst we were still eating!

Food excellent, staff very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The only part I do not like is trying to choose what to have. It was our third visit last night and we were not disappointed. The chorizo is fab and the goats cheese and honey was delicious. My husband could not wait for his dessert, white chocolate cheesecake with chilli infused raspberries. While I settled for churros and thick chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!! Lovely atmosphere and looking forward to our next visit as we still have not even looked at the main meals!
