I recently had a Christmas night out here. THIS IS ONE TO AVOID. We were a group of 13 but should have been 17 we had all paid a £10 deposit. The restaurant were insistent that we pay in full for the missing 4 people. We were asked at the start if we wanted garlic bread or any other starters, we all said no, but they brought some anyway, so we all thought they must be complimentary, we got 3 garlic breads, a 3 brushetta's at an extra cost of £30+. They served large drink sizes when not asked for. The cost for drinks was a little excessive at £3.50 for a coke and £5.50 for an orange juice. The meals themselves were very mediocre, and certainly not worth the £595 they asked for, just for the meals. The service was also below expectations. I was left waiting for my starter when most of my group had finished there's. All meals had been pre-ordered, and no excuse was forthcoming. I couldn't recommend this restaurant for anything. Not the food, or the service.

Akshaya is probably my favorite South Indian restaurant in Liverpool. The servers are extremely polite & knowledgeable and the food is absolutely delicious! Definitely the best S.Indian restaurant I've been to ever.

I was visiting Liverpool on business and was dining out with a number of colleagues. I normally only drink Yorkshire tea (or maybe PG Tips) but I had a cherry beer followed by a chocolate beer in the Bier Keller. I was then ready for the Bistro Pierre! This place is great. A cosy spot with atmosphere and really enjoyable food. The young staff was personable and made us feel welcome. We all chose from the specials for our main course and they were all outstanding. The service couldn't be faulted, speedy but unobtrusive, so we felt this was a reasonable price in Liverpool, and we would certainly recommend the restaurant. They also offer a fine selection of wines but do not serve Yorkshire tea or PG Tips...but then again you can't expect everything !

We were recommended by some friends and had a terrific time. This is by far the best restaurant I have been to in a very long time. Cozy ambience and great service enhanced with personality and humour . The portions are excellent and the flavour is exquisite. Mood is quaint with no rush to be out of the restaurant so you can have your quality conversation over dinner. Akshaya is absolutely a pleasure to dine in!

We visited The Monro last Sunday for a late lunch and were tremendously impressed by the whole experience. The food was fantastic (Ham Hock terrine starter and Roast Beef main being particular highlights). The atmosphere of the dining rooms and bar area is so relaxed that at times you forget you are so close to a bustling city centre. The staff were attentive and both the food and wine were exceptional value (£11.95 for two course and a bottle of lovely Malbec for £14). This place is something of a well kept secret - in fact I'm not sure why I'm letting anyone else know! Not to be missed,

Visited Savina last month, the food was below average, the manager, young bloke was an idiot and seemed like he wanted to treat customers with no respect. The cocktails were below standard for the price, and I also noticed in the cocktails non branded alcohol was used, when menu's clearly stated bacardi, smirnoff etc. Will not be going ever again!!!

We visited here for a meal for the first time this week. Hubby and cousin had pizza which looked amazing and how a pizza should be. They even made the pizza to my fussy cousins specification! without fuss. Wasn't impressed with my pasta though I had the Amatricana and it was a bit on the cold side, pasta was too heavy. Desserts looked good and were enjoyed by some of the group

This place is a contemporary fusion of Far East and South East Asian food. The menu has a bit of imagination and is a welcome change from the predictable offerings elsewhere. There is a lively atmosphere with well intended staff. Speciality diets are genuinely attempted to be accommodated.

This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in Liverpool by a mile. It is the only restaurant I have been to in Liverpool where the menu reminds me of being back in India. The food is cooked beautifully, service is excellent with very helpful staff and the setting is very pleasant.

I recently went down to Liverpool to watch a football match and through recommendation from my hotel, me and a group of friend found ourselves eating at Akshaya and thoroughly enjoyed the food, I would recommend the chicken briyani. The service was excellent and the waiters were friendly.

The place was great, food was great but they spoiled it all at the very end by trying it on with the bill, I was with my girl who i have been with for 2 years but they maybe thought It was our 1st or 2nd date and I wouldn't say anything but they where barking up the wrong tree, I was gutted because we knew they did it on purpose and so did they & now we will never go back there again, such a shame and it spoiled our experience in Chung Ku and let them down in my opinion .

I saw the 40% voucher and thought I'd give it a try. The meal turned out to be fantastic. I had seared orkney scallops which was very fresh and nicely cooked as my starter. My main meal was Cumbrian lamb rump which was really juicy and tender! My friends and I enjoyed the meal a lot and would highly recommend it to others.
