I found this to be one of the most pleasant restaurant I have ever visited. The food is fantastic and the staff are wonderful, highly recommended!

I went to Puschka for my 30th birthday on Saturday and was absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated. The staff were extremely rude and even though my friends had previously checked it was ok to bring in a birthday cake when it was brought out we weren't allowed a knife to cut it or plates or forks to eat it because it was "against their policy to eat it on the premises", the chef even came out to insult my boyfriend for good measure!! Neither me or any of my party will ever return there & certainly will not recommend it to anybody else.

I have not ate in this restaurant but after the take away we got on 23.2.08 I would not want too.I ordered special chow main, mussels in black bean sauce, ribs, egg fried rice and shui mai came to £25.50.The chow main came in 2 dishes (strange),1 dish with noodles and the other with all different chunks meats in a gravy. It was foul, all the meat was fatty and it was as if it was just chucked in, I have never had a chow main like that b4. The rice was all mashed 2gether an looked like mash potatoes. the only good thing was the prawn crackers!

This Restaurant came highly recommended and the reviews on this site confirm it's excellent reputation. Imagine my disappointment and horror, therefore, when I was not allowed in as I am blind and use a guide dog for mobility purposes!!!! This Restaurant have acted illegally under part III of the Disability Discrimination Act (1995-2005) and further action will be taken.

Was really looking forward to the meal as my partner and i had heard such good things about Savina. Unfortunately it did not come up to expectations. My partner had The Sea Bass that had to be was sent back as it was cold and the veg was over cooked to the point of soggy. I had Stuffed Chicken Breast that was dry and overcooked. The ambiance of the restaurant is good but the food does not match it.

Spice Lounge where do I start: I was treating my wonderful wife today, because I wasn’t able to take her out on Valentine’s Day of damn WORK. Anyway while in work this afternoon I over heard my company boss talking about a new Indian restaurant in the Albert dock, saying how excellent everything was the service, food and environment etc. They also where boosting about the restaurant in the Albert dock called the Spice Lounge. Without thinking got the phone out and booked a table for two. When we got there my god that place was like stepping in to HEAVEN everything was perfect. We sat down had a good look through the menu but didn’t understand anything; there were no massalla, korma, madras or vindaloo. So my wife called the waiter over and said were are the massalla etc, “he just laughed and told us your in the wrong place mate”. So he told this Spice Lounge is not your typically Indian restaurant. This is more authentic more back home style. Anyway I knew what I was going to have I was being the CHICKEN JALFREZI and my wife Order a king prawn dish and a lamb dish. As our food started to arrive we starting getting into the food. My god the smell and taste of the lamb just melted in my mouth. The service was ten times better than the Ivy restaurant in London and many many other restaurants through out Liverpool. The bill at the end of the night was not what I expected considering the locating and the unique style of food. Ps. I recommend this unique restaurant to whom so ever. Guess I have found my local now.

In general, Bella Italia seems a perfectly good chain restaurant. But, having recently had a meal at the Liverpool branch, I find myself asking whether they wish to be Italian to the core, or just another faux Italian. From a sampling from the menu, it finds itself in the faux camp. One of the starter dishes includes bruschetta alongside buffalo wings, and of course there are the seemingly indispensable 'fries' with half the menu. On the other hand the decor and atmosphere lends itself to a more Italian style. The low lighting, candles in chianti bottles and the shouts of graci and ciao in the background all lend itself to a pleasant setting. Unfortunately this is let down with most of the waiting staff having broad local accents, making communication difficult. There is little wrong in Britain with faux Italian restaurants, shown by the success of Pizza Express and ASK. Neither is there anything wrong with a franchised business of traditional Italian restaurants. But Bella Italia finds itself in a strange hiatus in the middle, resulting in mixed feelings for the diner.

nice place. Food was ok, the staff are very polite, but we did wait over half an hour for it and this was on a Monday night(4/02/08). There were only 3 other tables being used. We had chicken on skewers with roasted potatoes which were under done. For what we had the price was ok. go back, no there are better places in the city centre.

I visited this restaurant with my work colleagues one Monday lunchtime. There were ten of us, and I too though there had been a mistake with the price! This restaurant is well worth the money; the food is excellent and the service great. In a city where there is a huge choice of restaurants, Bistro Jacques comes top of my list!

My recommendation for this restaurant would be not to to eat there. My partner and I went last night and ordered two simple main course fish and chips and a burger. The meals took 50 minutes to arrive at our table, and when they did, the burger was completely dried out and solid (could hardly cut through it) and the toasted bun had obviously been in the microwave. The waiter took the meals away, and whilst he offered a replacement free of charge, at no time did the manager have the courtesy (or perhaps courage) to come and apologise. The service and the food were of great disappointment, and as we were held up finding somewhere else to eat, we were unable to get to the cinema in time for the film we wanted to see.

This venue spoils itself at the end of the night when the two bouncers come in and demand everyone leaves "now!". You are not asked to leave, you are TOLD to leave in a very unfriendly and threatening manner. Non of out party will return again.

The service at Pushka was relaxed to say the least; we waited an hour and a half following starters, it was nearly mid-night before we got our main The waiter was very abrupt and looked like he was under the influence of SOMETHING. The whole experience is one that I would like to forget as it spoilt our night completely-very disappointed.

Went on Saturday 26/1/8 in a party of 8, We could not find fault anywhere. It was excellent. Fantastic food and atmosphere. Not exactly cheap but why should it be, you get what you pay for and this was quality

While visiting the Holocaust exhibition I decided to give the try out the Eatery. I was amazed to see ALL the Food on offer was Homemade!{ a rarity these days!} It was a very busy place and the Staff were VERY polite, friendly{without being intrusive} and attentive. Which was lovely and made the meal enjoyable! The place itself is a niche in the Anglican Cathedral and has huge glass windows so you can enjoy the views. The meal was Hot.The Food was ALL fresh ingredients {only the Peas were from a tin}The Sunday Lunch was lovely and you get decent portions.Very reasonably priced, in fact one of the cheapest Sunday Lunches Iv ever had in Liverpool or Wirral and one of the most enjoyable! Highly Recommend! If you haven't been there go now and see for yourself. 10/10
