Been going here for nearly thirty years.Tell me if there is a better indian in liverpool cos i havent found it!!.
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreThis place is a little gem. Great food and great atmosphere. Massive portions for bargain prices. Don't expect to be in there long, although you're not pressured to leave, the food comes mighty fast and you're in and out before u know it! Would definitely recommend.
Tokyou – Liverpool City CentreI've dined here a few times now and have always found it to be good value for money. However, I've had a bad experience today. I found a hair on my plate. I discretely pointed it out to the waitress. Another waitress came back and said that although they would replace the meal, no-one in the kitchen had short blonde hair. In fact, the hair was dark brown/black. My hair is short blonde and she suggested it was one of mine. The hair was definitely not blonde and the guest I was dining with agreed with me. The waitress was quite rude. I think she thought I was trying to get a discount, which was most certainly not the case.
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreWe went to The Monro for our 1st anniversary as we heard it had a great reputation. We were not disappointed, food was amazing, cooked to perfection and the staff were friendly. A perfect evening was rounded off with cocktails, we will definitely be visiting this place again!
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreMy boyfriend took me there for Xmas Eve lunch for the first time. Fantastic food and service was good. Starters I had a bowl of olives and garlic bread and main course Benedict Smoked Salmon,Asparagus,Spinch Poached Egg & Cream Sauce the BEST
The Quarter – Liverpool City Centre1st impression brocken glass on the floor 2nd Very pour menu 3rd All the staff had absolutely no idea what the were doing except the bold fella , ( nice one mate!!!) 4rth our waiter seemed to be having a good time on SPEED his mouth is faster than his brain 5th we got our drinks 10 sec before we got our starters 6th I had a better steak in Afghanistan and a hobo could make a better carbonara 7th I like the Polish shefs but in Polish restaurants not in Italian What i'm saying is you need to hire some profetionals the place at the moment is i high risk worst than mc donalds
Bella Italia – Liverpool City CentreI can't recommend this place highly enough! The food in here is such a great change from the usual chicken tikka massala. You need to book if you want to go at the weekend, unless you are going early. The decor is slightly worn, but the food is amazing! Fantastic selection of different breads, many of which I'd never had before going here, and a good selection of veggie meals. It's definitely not for after six pints on the way home! Make this your first stop!
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreI have finally found a place to eat in great surrounding and feel like I'm on holiday. We visited Mayur last week, for dinner after work with friends. Because of the warm weather we were able to dine outside in the square. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, and eating outside was definitely a huge bonus. The food is by far the best indian I have eaten in Liverpool and compares to the top restaurants in London. Service was very good and the waiting staff knew a lot about the menu. I ate the seabass which was perfect, just right for the warm weather. My friend does not really like curries, so ordered a couple of their grilled starters which were excellent. All in all - a great experience - deffo recommend it.
Mayur – Liverpool City CentreRecently came across this restaurant from friends suggestions. We found the place an excellent choice for eating and a great variation in meals. The staff were very cooperative and friendly which made the evening an eventful one.
Bacchus Taverna – Liverpool City CentreI had a lovely meal at Etsu last week and was very surprised. I have eaten sushi in a lot of places around the world and I can honestly say that it is delicious at Etsu. The service was very good, attentive but not too much. The atmosphere is relaxed. I would definitely recommend going here! Price vs quality is excellent. PS: Try the chef's platter, it is gorgeous!
Etsu – Liverpool City CentreWent bank holiday weekend for our anniversary. The views are great but the food lacks quality and is served in such small portions we left feeling hungry. The lamb served was extremely fatty and gristly and the cheese board was inedible. The menus given to diners were dog eared and grubby but they did iron the table clothes in situ after each diner had left. We were rushed through our meal and we heard other diners complaining about being left waiting too long for a table. Eat before you go !

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City CentreI think I must have been to a different restaurant than the other reviewers!! I have to say, this is the worst restaurant I have ever been too. The service was awful, it took 20 minutes to be acknowledged, then a further 20 minuted to get 2 drinks (which were wrong) and then another half an hour to get any service. When I was served the I found the staff unfriendly, arrogant and miserable. I have noticed that many of the reviewers went for lunch, i went for dinner in the evening, so maybe it has different staff, but it was the worst place I have ever been in terms of service. The food wasn't the best either, especially if you are vegetarian, I will not be going back and I would not recommend this excuse for a restaurant to anyone.

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City CentreWarning - do not be fooled by the awards and hype. Travelled from Middlesbrough to sample one of the best Italians in uk ; it aint. Been to Ramsey's restaurant in London now that's worth a trip. Had high hopes, busy ,buzzy, excellent pizza oven great atmosphere. Ate calamari (frozen-bland) spaghetti vongole(good) husband had pizza (appalling considering the £20k pizza oven) truly awful.Coffee was bad and cold oh and wrong! ordered macchiato ; came black.so sad as 100's of 1000's mus've been spent doin this place up.Bag's of potential. No wonder manager/owner was looking was looking a bit depressed last night.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreWent to Maharaja on a Sunday afternoon with the OH, they had a buffet on, with essentially a Chicken curry, Veg and a Fish curry along with roti and rice and payyasum for dessert. The food was bland and totally uninspiring and service was non-existent, probably being a buffet! The masala dosa was reasonable but the sambar was again bland and tasteless. Would NEVER return there, big disappointment.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreGreat food, great price, great atmosphere, wine in tumblers give authentic feel, book early on phil nights.
The Quarter – Liverpool City CentreThe second rudest waitress I have ever encountered - but who expected a tip.(Not forthcoming) A pizza you needed a hammer and chisel to breach, slow slow service and a request for a proper wineglass treated as if I was asking for gold plate! I'm going back to Ego! They can cook, they're efficient and the service is so nice I usually give a 15% tip.
The Quarter – Liverpool City Centre2 courses plus a piece of home-made dessert, £12.50. Available until 6.30pm Wednesday and Thursday and until 5.30pm Fridays (excludes Bank Holidays).
