Bacchus Taverna – Liverpool City CentreJust had an amazing night at 60 Hope Street. A lovely restaurant that's not a bit pretentious. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, food and drink was utterly divine. We have large appetites and the quantity was plenty and more importantly the quality and freshness of the food was superb. Will definitely go back.
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreI travelled up to the restaurant from London for my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebrations. I thought that everything about the restaurant was fantastic. The food, service , decoration and views were amazing. I have recommended it to my friends and will hopefully be visiting again, if I can get a table! It i had to award a score it would be a definite 10/10.

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City Centreabsolutely brilliant found it on the Internet and we will definitely be going back soon food great and different nice break in between starter and main lovely wine and service 10/10
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreOVERATED. NO PRIVACY FOR COUPLES, TOO OPEN AND CRAMMED ESPECIALLY IN THE CENTRAL SEATING ARREARS. FULL OF WANNABE GANGSTERS, DEALERS AND THEIR DITSY DUMB GIRLFRIENDS. MANAGEMENT ARE UNATTENTIVE AND MISERABLE. PRICE AND FOOD OVERATED.
Chung Ku – Liverpool City CentreJuly 08 - Yet again another superb evening at Pushka. Food excellent, staff extremely pleasant and accommodating and atmosphere perfect. We have eaten at Pushka a couple of times a year since it opened and have never been disappointed. We book for very special occasions and when we have visitors to the city. Keep it up.
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreMy husband and are regular visitors to the Munro, we love the food. The new menu is imaginative. I had the duck and ribs in BBQ sauce really yummy. Alan is a veggie and he was spoilt for choice ( this is not so in most places). Just one problem we would love to take friends there but can not do so as they are both in electric wheelchairs, they could get in but not use the toilet. A disappointment as the refurbishment has just been done.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreI recommend not to book a large party with Alma De Cuba. They will take the booking but I am afraid can't deliver. We were told that the kitchen was to small with our party, and the next party to us were told the same - why take the booking. The meal was utterly dreadful , however we only paid 50% but that was through a lot of negotiating. All in all 30 people will not be returning to eat!
Alma De Cuba – Liverpool City CentreI recently ate here with 5 other people. 5 of us chose to eat from the offer of 3 courses for £17.95 including a bottle of wine per couple. The staff were great however the food was very disappointing for supposedly one of the best restaurants in Liverpool. Both starters and mains looked great but were very bland. The desserts tasted extremely sour and the flavours didn't compliment each other at all. One of the group ordered the fish and chips which you would think would be easy enough to cook but even that was cooked wrong!
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreMyself and 7 work colleagues have just returned from a wonderful lunch at Delifonseca. Remember to book , or you could be disappointed - it was a Tuesday and people were queueing for tables Candice and her staff were very helpful and provided excellent service. The food was all amazing - but a special mention must go to The Mutton and Spinach Curry and Pecan Pie. A fabulous time was had by all. This is a hidden gem- we will definitely be back to sample more!!!
Delifonseca – Liverpool City CentreI went to Etsu on Saturday with my girlfriend and what a fantastic find this little Japanese restaurant is! The service and staff ,particularly the waitress that served us, were consummate professionals and had a genuine passion for their job and the cuisine that they served. My girlfriend had not tried sushi before and is now a convert, due to the high standards of taste that were delivered. I had the seasonal recommendation of white tuna in a ponzu sauce, which was by far the best fish dish I've ever tasted. We'll be returning to Etsu and recommending this gem to our family and friends.
Etsu – Liverpool City CentreHave been to Etsu twice, and really enjoyed it.Can highly recommend the red snapper and the steak.Service is friendly and attentive, and the price is really reasonable.A hidden gem!!
Etsu – Liverpool City CentreThe pub stands all alone on a busy road and I was a little dubious about taking my Mum in for lunch. It was a little rundown inside but only added to its' charm. There was a surprisingly extensive and sophisticated menu. We both plumped for Scaborough cod in beer batter with maris piper chips, homemade mushy peas, samphire and lime tatare sauce. Absolutely fabulous! and very reasonably priced. I look forward to future visits to explore their menu.
The Baltic Fleet – Liverpool City CentreI visited here with a party of 6 for my Mothers birthday recently and was thoroughly impressed. Not being the biggest fan of Indian food, I was apprehensive, but that soon disappeared when I sampled my starter. All food, service, decor and price were excellent and delivered by an exceptionally professional staff. Top marks for the Mayur gang! I shall definitely be eating here again and have recommended it to everyone I know. P.S. try the Saffron Martini cocktail!
Mayur – Liverpool City CentreThis is an outstanding place to eat. We we in a party of 14 and opted for the early evening set menu - it was flawless. Often, set meals can be disappointing, but this was certainly NOT the case here! Every mouthful was utterly divine and everyone was raving about the sheer quality of the food on offer. Staff were amazing - the service was exceptional without being obsequious or obtrusive - water / wine / bread constantly offered. Wow. I have been here a couple of times before and been amazed by it on each occasion. As for the 'battle' between here and the London Carriage Works - both are fab and it's great to see such quality in Liverpool; we need more restaurants of this calibre in the city.
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreKimos Cafe in Liverpool has a lot to learn in the way of serving food. As they seem incapable of listening to customers face-to-face I thought I would take the time to spell it out. Food should be hot - not like the baked potatoes, which come half-cooked from the microwave with dry stone-cold fillings and a clump of mayo to help you choke it down. Service should be friendly - not reminiscent of a bull-dog chewing a wasp, which is how they respond to customers who send inedible food back. Chef’s should listen to complaints - not ignore feedback from customers. The two chefs would do well to taste the poor quality of their kitchen to remind them of how much they have to learn, should they care enough. Me and my girlfriend were refused replacement meals or a refund, and therefore had to leave without eating our meals. I am amazed that anyone continues to put up with the awful fare and snarling service this cafe dishes up.
Kimos – Liverpool City CentreBeen to both the restaurant and Bistro in the last month- both have excellent service and food, and in my opinion far better than the more expensive London Carriage Works. Definitely recommend. A good, varied and competitively priced menu - lovely ambience.
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City Centre2 courses plus a piece of home-made dessert, £12.50. Available until 6.30pm Wednesday and Thursday and until 5.30pm Fridays (excludes Bank Holidays).
