We went to sample the regional cuisine that the monro offers having seen it on TV. We weren't disappointed as although we had to wait for the fresh food to be cooked (this was explained to us before we sat down) it was amazing to taste humble vegetables taste sweet, crunchy and you could tell that the food was good for you. Having sampled Buffalo, Wild Boar and Rabbit we thought this little bar and restaurant is special. The wine list too, is worthy of note as I read that if you don't like any wine that you order they'd exchange it for something you'd prefer. We didn't need to take up the offer as the house wine at only £10.50 was a fabulous Chenin Blanc from South Africa. All in all the food, service and atmosphere were a real delight and this place deserves a visit by everyone.

Having only just discovered Blackburne Houses Cafe Bar I definately will be returning, the food was very tasty and I believe all made on the premises. Well worth a try

I have been to many Greek restaurants around the world. This definately impressed me the most. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is excellent. Yeia mas Haralambos.

really enjoyed the evening. 4 of us went out for dinner and we were all tired and weren't particularly in the mood, but the staff were patient with us and it turned out to be a lovely meal with great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning as soon as we can!

There is an excellent selection of vegetarian and vegan food including salads and hot dishes. The tea selection is great and you can have soya milk shakes even. they do a nice Veggie Sunday roast. There is smoking and non smoking areas and there are always interesting art exhibits. The Egg is currently under renovation but business continues as usual.

A Halal restaurant, the food is fantastic, especially the 'staff specials'. BYO booze means a cheap night - give it a go...

The first visit was indeed so relaxed I nearly fell asleep on the extremely comfy sofa's. The bar menu very good, the best Chicken Ceaser Salad I have ever had. Service, excellent. The Restaurant, well what can I say, they have just won an award for "Best Restaurant"! Well done to all the team at Ziba, together you make it work.

The food was tremounsly good. Have been to many Chinese restaurant, and this definitely one of the best. Ask the owner to recommend if you are spoilt with so many choices in the menu. Could be crowded on weekends.

Couldn't believe my eyes when the food was brought to our table. We've paid 10 times more for 10 times less. We went back the following week and it was the same! Excellent and thoroughly recommended.

The best restaurant in Liverpool.

I brought visiting colleagues from Genoa here. At first they were reluctant to come (like taking coal to Newcastle) but were extremely glad they did. They were astonished at the whole experience and now recommend that their colleagues in Genoa should visit Villa Romana when they have business at Marconi in Liverpool. A definite hit!

I was dissappointed at the level of service mainly at a Passage to India. The waiters were rude and uncommunicative too! The food was fine, not brilliant, and for the overall experience the price was a little too high! That said, my boyfriend had been before and loved it, so maybe they were having a bad night!

I liked the food and the ambience here, however poor service confused our order and had my date and I eating courses at separate times and in the end management refunded all our costs! Lovely food though.
