Puschka

Had a most enjoyable evening last Saturday. The atmosphere was fabulous, great to be served by people with smiles on their faces and with personalities to match the bright purple/pink walls! Most importantly, the food was excellent - I recommend the lamb with raspberries and creme de cassis and for those with an apetite for more - the finest creme brulee this side of the Channel! Saara Renvall (Helsinki and Liverpool)

Indian Delight

Having being recommended i was dissapointed at the quality of the food that was put in front of me. My chicken tikka was overcooked and very tough however i enjoyed the saag vazi side dish which helped.

Chung Ku

One of the few places to wine and dine overlooking Liverpool'sgreatest asset - The Mersey. Busy, bustling brand new - full of Chinese on the day that I went. Simply one of the best Chinese Restaurants in the City.

60 Hope Street

Two restaurants for the price of one! Up stairs sophisticated dining and, without doubt, the best restaurant in Liverpool. Evenings have included impromptu performances by Nigel Kennedy who came across from the Philharmonic Hall and another evening half of Hollywood led by Samuel L. Jackson provided the table watching. The menu is changed regularly and, if you have room, try the deep fried jam sandwich for dessert. Downstairs is a more casual bistro with a bar where dining is informal with cheaper prices. All out of the same kitchen so it is very cost effective. Great for pre theatre.

Dr Duncans

Dr Duncan's must rate as one of the best City centre pubs in Liverpool. The range of real ales is second to none, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The interior of the building is truly worth an inspection, especially the beautiful 'tiled room'. As for the food, it can only be described as restaurant quality (but not restaurant price). No plastic menus, just a top quality varying menu from a top quality chef. Every visit is an enjoyable experience.

Bistro Pierre

A large party of us met up here for dinner. The portions were smashing and the staff were very accommodating. The house wines were so good that we drank them out of it - and had to move on others which were slightly more expensive but equally palatable! We went on a Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. The chef was very helpful with making allowances and alterations to receipes with regards to food allergies. We will definitely be going there again.

Chung Ku

I was very impressed by this restaurant. It is an ultra modern contemporary building, yet this unusual choice of building has been successfully blended with traditional Chinese themes via strategically placed statues, pieces of artwork and furniture. The view through the full length glass wall of the river Mersey is magnificent. The lights from the Wirral peninsula are particularly attractive of an evening. The food and drink was of a high quality. The staff are reserved yet friendly, the best combination I feel. A memorable time was had by all.

Dr Duncans

Dr Duncans is a wonderful breath of fresh air with regards to pub food. It does not deliver the standard "pub grub" but offers an extensive range of food from basic Italian ciabattas to Kangaroo steaks! Enough to satisfy every pallete and pocket. The service is excellent, the staff are incredably helpful and friendly and Thomas Rockcliffe the chef is a true wonder in the kitchen. Two big thumbs up!!!!!
