One of our favourite haunts, been going for years. Called in for lunch before the Playhouse on Saturday. Great location, friendly and attentive staff - sat in a booth overlooking the dock. Served quickly, food good, and a great background soundtrack (not overly intrusive).

Always a lovely meal when we come here, starters were lovely . Loaded fries amazing !

An excellent meal from start to finish. Lovely attentive staff. Allowed us to have the great value 2 course meal for 12.50 despite us booking for 5.30pm when it finished. Quality of our dishes was excellent as was presentation and quantity. Loved the complimentary dessert. Nice touch. We will definitely book again.

Wow..only booked as I fancied meat dishes. Absolutely blown away by portions, taste, service was excellent and superb value for money We will be back

Great little pub. Always visit when going to The Empire. The staff are friendly. The pizzas are exceptional! Fabulous value for money. Highly recommended.

We had 2 lovely burgers. Onion rings were superb. Brownie and sundae nice desserts. Drinks were a little slow coming out, but otherwise fine

Always enjoy our visits before we go to the theatre. The pizzas are lovely and the waiter always has a laugh with us. Would highly recommend .

We arrived 30 minutes early for our 17.30 reservation. We were seated straight away. Sam our server was very attentive. Dietary requirements were covered and we were asked about any allergies. Food was very nice apart from the rice with the chilli was quite hard. We waited awhile for the card machine but it was very busy as Strictly was on at the Arena . We will be back.

We attended as a family, we were left standing at the door whilst the member of staff finished on their mobile phone. He then approached us to be advised we had reservation, he then left us further at the door and disappeared for another 5 minutes, in the meantime two other members had asked if we had been seen to. He then returned and told us to follow him and placed us on a window seat. We were then left sitting there, no one came to take our drinks order or food order, we had to try and get someone’s attention as people who were seated after us were being served before us When our food arrived part was hot and part was cold, we just decided to mix the rice in with the rest of the food as we couldn’t get anyone else’s attention. My son didn’t like his chicken strips, probably just his preference but didn’t seem very hot so put him off. Very disappointed as have been to what’s cooking in the past and always had a good experience, this was a let down.

Food was not very tasty. Rice was very cold. Diet coke was flat

After show meal ..brilliant atmosphere and location..pizza was wonderful as was the scouse hotpot ..and a wonderful sticky toffee pudding for afters..job done!..will definitely recommend and visit again
