Booked for weekend away in Liverpool as liked menu and situation on Albert dock. It didn't disappoint service friendly and we never felt rushed. Food fresh tasty and plentiful and our party of 4 all had different dishes. Non alcoholic cocktails choice good. Background music choice uplifting but at a volume where we could hear each other speak. View from our window seat of Liver bird building light up after dark perfect. Would highly recommend

Cozy pub with friendly staff and tasty pizzas. Excellent value with the Meerkat offer.

Book here before a concert for a friends birthday. Ordered nachos to share and asked the waiter for extra sour cream. That never arrived. Also ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings. Very dry and barely warm. Also ordered a side of onion rings and fries. Chips were barely warm and onion ring were just full of oil. Friend ordered chicken smothered burger. Said was ok but nothing special. Considering the nachos are near £20 a go there not that fancy if I’m honest. No check back from any staff so couldn’t even send anything back. Had to flag staff down to order a drink. Won’t be returning.

Overall, one to forget , food OK but service poor Seated quickly, starter arrived promptly Main courses took almost mins, couple in next booth ordered straight before us and were finished before our main course arrived, took 2 reminders to staff One main was brilliant, the burger was ok, that’s the red it option it was just ok Been a huge fan of the brand for many years so this came as a huge disappointment

Went yesterday before going to the theatre, had the best bowl of scouse I've had for a long time, loads of meat in it and very tasty. Lovely, lively atmosphere and friendly staff, will definitely be going again.

Visited for my sons birthday. Food was good, quite expensive but ok for a treat. My son ordered a kids cocktail and it was at least 50% ice and at £5 a go, that’s not really acceptable. Raised it with a server who basically said that’s how they come and offered no resolution or even apology.

The Albert Dock is my favourite place in the world and we have frequented What’s Cooking on many an occasion. I was dining with family. The service was fantastic , friendly and efficient. The food was lovely. The view, as always was amazing. Highly recommended.

We have always lived the food here. However, the portion sizes have reduced on main meals. The effort with the food serms to have dropped. Side salads and fries portions are measly. The prices have increased though! There was an issue with my meal and the staff were amazing. Overall, i don't think we will be back in a hurry.

I had scouse for the first time and it was glorious, being a Mancunian I would have loved the option of suet dumpling as well.
