Christakis Aigburth – AigburthLovely as usual
Christakis Aigburth – AigburthTook my daughter who is 11yrs there for tea last night, not only did she LOVE the retro gaming, but the food was awesome too! I’m gluten free and don’t get excited about pizza as it’s usually pants, but here, it was really really good!! The staff were approachable, chilled and super friendly, nothing was too much a bother for them! They even insisted on giving me free fries as the gluten free pizza is smaller than the regular pizzas. My daughter wants to visit Liverpool again, just to visit Doughbar :)
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreParty of 4 for late 3pm lunch on Friday Sept 3rd. Starters of Greek Salad, Tahini, Humus and Taramasalata, all served fresh with warm pita bread. When bread basket was empty, more was immediately brought to our table. Main courses of Moussaka, Keftedes (meat balls), Chicken Kebab and Afelia (Pork chunks), were served with nicely cooked chips and rice. Portions were generous and food delicious. Very consistently good quality. Ordered an Australian red wine for £22 per bottle, which again was excellent and which went very well with the food served. None of the 4 of us could manage a desert. After we had declined a 3rd course however, we were given complimentary sweet ‘Baklava’ to try. Not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’, but we enjoyed it. Only one of our party could manage coffee (Latte), but we were then brought a complimentary Greek liquor to sample as a finale, to what was an ‘epic’ but delicious lunch. Staff were efficient, humorous and very welcoming. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. They really deserve this great review. Can’t wait to go back. Fantastic value on the early evening menu.

Christakis Aigburth – AigburthPre-booked for pizza and drinks before heading to the theatre. Late change request made to time of booking (as theatre now giving an entry time) thankfully accommodated for us to eat a bit earlier. Pizzas are light (thin and crisp) freshly made and delicious. 3 pizzas, 2 bottles of Sauvignon blanc, 2 delicious chocolate fudge cakes with cream and a couple of g&t’s all served with a smile for less than £70- great start to our evening.
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentrePleasant, friendly staff with great food and nice atmosphere!
Ying Wah Restaurant – WooltonAmazing meal. The service is 5* everyone is so nice and are constantly checking if you need anything and if everything is ok. The portion size is spot on, I couldn’t finish my main! The chicken wings melt, the ribs are incredible and the duck was so tender! Wish we had space for dessert!
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreA great setting, with incredible, accessible and skilled staff. The food was excellent, and our whole party raved about our night at Clockworks, highly recommended.
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreGreat meal. Really helpful staff!
Ayuthaya – CrosbyWe’ll be back. Visited for the first time before heading to the theatre. As soon as we arrived, the gentleman who greeted us asked if we were going to the theatre or we’d already been. We said we were on our way there and he said to mention it when ordering then they could let the chef know and they could get our food out quickly. Pizzas were amazing - lots of unusual choices as well as the more traditional ones - and very reasonable. The cocktails (and mocktails) drinks were great and also very reasonable. A nice and informal setting with booths, benches, games consoles and the like. Well worth a visit.
