My friend dad works there and it was lovely i went there a while back for jays ( the waiter ) 21st birthday and it was lovely! Hope to go there again soon! Hello daz n jay xx
Nicola’s Ristorante – WaterlooI was recommended this restaurant by a taxi driver. But was a little disappointed. The meal was quite bland, there was not much meat in it but it was smothered in sauce which I didn't like too much. Maybe it was an off night but I don't think I'll try it again.
Taj Mahal – SouthportWe have eaten at pioneer a few times since it opened and generally been pleased ,we also ate really good tapas in the bar .We also found the food very fresh and not too expensive .However the staff and manager are not too knowledgeable about the food there serving .The waitress was sweet and tried to please even if the manager lacked interest and knowledge about what he was selling
Pioneer Bar and Brasserie – CrosbyWas really looking forward to the meal as my partner and i had heard such good things about Savina. Unfortunately it did not come up to expectations. My partner had The Sea Bass that had to be was sent back as it was cold and the veg was over cooked to the point of soggy. I had Stuffed Chicken Breast that was dry and overcooked. The ambiance of the restaurant is good but the food does not match it.
Savina – Liverpool City CentreI love this restaurant its a great atmosphere the staff are friendly and polite and the discount is amazing. I recommend this restaurant to everyone families and couples.
Retsina Greek Restaurant – West DerbyThis restaurant is not only one of the best in Southport but equally as good as any London restaurant I have been to. I've eaten in some top places in London:- Oxo Tower, Smiths of Smithfield, Fifteen and Mezzo, places where a meal for two with drinks will typically set you back about £150 upwards. I make no exaggeration when I say that Cloisters is one of the best I've been to in terms of the quality of food, the choice and the personal service. A superb good quality menu and a formal setting and service yet relaxed atmosphere. I had such a fantastic meal recently accompanied by my wife and two friends, when the bill arrived I was absolutely convinced we'd been under charged. The only one thing they could improve on would be to stay open later, maybe thats a cultural thing, in London people tend to go for dinner about Eight onwards whereas here it seems many people want to be all done by seven.
Knightsbridge Restaurant – SouthportEverything was served very well presented & the quality of the food was fantastic & couldn't be faulted. I tried murga kofta - a dish of minced chicken meatballs which was delicious! Check out their website for a menu list there's plenty of choice Would go again without hesitation
Spice Club – Moretonhad a valentines day meal here again. service and food second to none, from the canopies to the desert. can't wait to see what the monro will be like, when it gets refurbished.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreSpice Lounge where do I start: I was treating my wonderful wife today, because I wasn’t able to take her out on Valentine’s Day of damn WORK. Anyway while in work this afternoon I over heard my company boss talking about a new Indian restaurant in the Albert dock, saying how excellent everything was the service, food and environment etc. They also where boosting about the restaurant in the Albert dock called the Spice Lounge. Without thinking got the phone out and booked a table for two. When we got there my god that place was like stepping in to HEAVEN everything was perfect. We sat down had a good look through the menu but didn’t understand anything; there were no massalla, korma, madras or vindaloo. So my wife called the waiter over and said were are the massalla etc, “he just laughed and told us your in the wrong place mate”. So he told this Spice Lounge is not your typically Indian restaurant. This is more authentic more back home style. Anyway I knew what I was going to have I was being the CHICKEN JALFREZI and my wife Order a king prawn dish and a lamb dish. As our food started to arrive we starting getting into the food. My god the smell and taste of the lamb just melted in my mouth. The service was ten times better than the Ivy restaurant in London and many many other restaurants through out Liverpool. The bill at the end of the night was not what I expected considering the locating and the unique style of food. Ps. I recommend this unique restaurant to whom so ever. Guess I have found my local now.
Spice Lounge – Liverpool City Centrei enjoyed my meal at chimneys excellent food service and good price.
Chimneys, The – HeswallIn general, Bella Italia seems a perfectly good chain restaurant. But, having recently had a meal at the Liverpool branch, I find myself asking whether they wish to be Italian to the core, or just another faux Italian. From a sampling from the menu, it finds itself in the faux camp. One of the starter dishes includes bruschetta alongside buffalo wings, and of course there are the seemingly indispensable 'fries' with half the menu. On the other hand the decor and atmosphere lends itself to a more Italian style. The low lighting, candles in chianti bottles and the shouts of graci and ciao in the background all lend itself to a pleasant setting. Unfortunately this is let down with most of the waiting staff having broad local accents, making communication difficult. There is little wrong in Britain with faux Italian restaurants, shown by the success of Pizza Express and ASK. Neither is there anything wrong with a franchised business of traditional Italian restaurants. But Bella Italia finds itself in a strange hiatus in the middle, resulting in mixed feelings for the diner.
Bella Italia – Liverpool City CentreI have eaten at Nicola's a couple of times, and the food is wonderful. The staff are attentive and very friendly. My family ate there on Christmas Day, and it was great traditional fayre, and the staff made everyone's Christmas Day,regardless of their age. I have also been lucky to see a great swing singer who appears there. Everyone was dancing and having the best time.
Nicola’s Ristorante – WaterlooCasa Mia, west Kirby, the best Italian food on Merseyside.......would recommend it to anyone
nice place. Food was ok, the staff are very polite, but we did wait over half an hour for it and this was on a Monday night(4/02/08). There were only 3 other tables being used. We had chicken on skewers with roasted potatoes which were under done. For what we had the price was ok. go back, no there are better places in the city centre.
La Vina – Liverpool City CentreExcellent food and value, and really friendly staff. Recommended!
Yums Oriental Buffet – Liverpool City Centrethis is an exceptional Indian restaurant. The whole dining experience is marvelous from start to finish. The setting is contemporary but cosy and the service attentive without being overbearing. The owner making special effort to speak to each guest himself. The menu is extensive and offers something different for everyone with a wide selection of seafood dishes not usually found in an Indian restaurant side by side with more traditional offerings. You will probably never need another restaurant again! The Blue mango is quite rightly very popular and booking is required - especially at weekends.
Blue Mango Restaurant – PrescotHad Sunday lunch there yesterday. The Sunday brunch menu was a roast or a meaty breakfast (no veggie) -you could also order off the main lunch menu if you asked but we weren't given the menu initially. The fire alarm went off several times while we were there which wasn't great. However the food was fine - good portions and all fresh and tasty - and the staff were helpful and apologetic so we're putting any probs down to teething issues. Nice and relaxed - will go back.
