Wow i thought Yum's was really nice the food was great! they had a wide range of selection on the starters main and most of the desserts but they only had chocolate ice cream haha! but overall this is a boss restaurant!

Yums Oriental Buffet – Liverpool City Centre
A Liverpool Local

After reading so many promising recommendations, I decided to come here for my birthday. The service was very slow, almost none existent, and the menu was far from inspiring. I chose Halloumi for a starter which was drowned in balsamic vinegar and completely spoiled. My main was roast beef, which was acceptable and the vegetables were crisp and tasty. I did not have the experience I had expected and as Liverpool now has so many excellent eateries from which to choose, I won't return. I had high hopes from the great reviews, but for me, not on this occasion

Everytime we book we look forward to going. The food, service and atmosphere are great. There is always someone on hand and the chefs and their shows are great. The quality of the ingredients are excellent and I'd recommend here to everyone. Children will enjoy it too, though it'll work out fairly expensive taking then, so be warned. Also it's best to book to avoid disappointment.

Went to try the newly refurbished Punch Bowl for my son's 15th Birthday on 20/9/07. We were very disappointed with certain aspects of the evening: the 'distressed look' table was sticky and we needed to ask the waitress to wipe it, which she did happily. The food: the fillet steak was poor quality, tough, with a piece of grissle attached, potatoes were swimming in old oil, chicken breast was tough, we will not be recommending this pub to our many friends

After reading the extensive collection of reviews posted here, I am beginning to wonder was I at the same place? The floor show is fantastic and the service is faultless, but the food was very disappointing. I had the only vegetarian main course on the menu (maybe this was the problem)and received noodles, and a very small handful of veg, cooked in tomato ketchup and pepper!cost = £11.95! Having tasted vegetarian pan Asian food in may other restaurants around the country I know they can do better!.A good night of fun, but less than average food if you don't eat meat and fish.

Disappointed

Unable to cope with large group of people even though we had told them we would be coming in. would'nt let us move tables so we could sit together. our group had to sit on two tables with there backs to each other and two of the group had to sit on there own at a table in the middle of the room. very disappointed and what money they have lost as none of our group will return.

What a restaurant, I had my hen-night party here when it first opened, and nothing has changed since then, the food has to be the best, not something you would expect from an average mexican restaurant. I had my honeymoon in Mexico and visited some of there restaurants, there aren’t many modern mexican restaurants around but when you find one you are in for a treat. Savina is however a fantastic modern mexican restaurant, the decor in the restaurant is modern and the music and ambience is wonderful. The staff haven’t changed and the food is consistent as always. I have convinced my work colleagues to have our Christmas Party here as they are having live music on, and I can't wait. I love Savina and there should be more around the north west (I live in St Helens) I recommend Savina to everyone and wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to Sugarvine!!!! A++++'s allround!!

An excellent experience! Food was better than I expected - delightful sushi, perfect fillet steak, dessert was out of this world. Fantastic atmosphere and a must for anyone who loves japanese cooking.

We couldn't get a table at the 'normal' eating times on a saturday night so were booked in at 6. We weren't the only ones there, a large party and at least 3 other couples which shows the popularity of the place. The decor was modern and fresh but created an intimate atmosphere with a dining layout on different levels and a mixture of booths and tables. The food was fantastic! My partner had the ribs to start and they were the cleanest looking ribs after he finished! I had a very generous piece of Tuna for my main that I couldn't finish. Neither of us had space to try the puddings. To put it simply, we will be going back.

We have just returned from Piazza Italia and can not fault it in any way the food was excellent, We chose the 3 course menu for £12.90 which was great value for money even my 9 year old daughter (who is a very fussy eater) really enjoyed her meal. The restaurant has a lovely family run atmosphere and the staff are welcoming and friendly. My partner happened to mention how he liked the unusual glass his beer was served in and was brought a glass for him to take home at the end of meal! All in all we would definitely give this restaurant 10 out of 10 and will be visiting again soon.

Four of us went for a meal last night, I’d booked the table on Wednesday yet when we arrived they had no recollection of my reservation, although after a few minutes they found a table for us. The food did not disappoint! The service however was poor, we had the plates from our starter in front of us for nearly an hour before they were taken away without any apology, luckily we were busy chatting. Think they are having teething problems but I would return again as the food was the best in the city

One of the best Indians in Liverpool. I enjoyed my meal but it was not as hot as I expected! I picked the meal as it had two chillis next to it (the most in Mayur) as I like hot indian food but it was not as hot as I would have liked it. Can not fault the service or decor in the place, it was fantastic. They could probably do with mixing the menu up a bit for example my girlfriend would have liked chicken jalfrezi but on the menu it only came with lamb (they probably would have been happy to change it for us though if we had asked - who knows?). All in all it was a good meal but it was by no means the best Indian i've ever had.

Myself and my husband to be stumbled over the place by accident on Saturday afternoon. We decided to go in for some tapas. We where seated by the kitchen door when it was not busy and there where better tables to offer. We ordered 2 galsses of white wine and where served red. We finally got the food and the order was wrong. The staff had a disagreement in front of us. The garlic bread finally arrived and was green most off putting. There was not one dish that you could say was nice. Then the bill came and was gob smacked at the price. Over five pounds for a glass of wine! Will never visit again. Back to La Tasca in the future !

The food was very good - we went on a Saturday (party of four) having heard some great reviews. I didn't think the food was particularly pricey as it worked out at about £60 per person and we had starters, main course, dessert, bottle of wine and a couple of glasses of wine. The service was also very good, informed and attentive - no major problems here. However my experience wasn't altogether what I had expected having read all the reviews of this restaurant on sugarvine.com First problem was the Menus - they were not very straight-forward and we couldn't easily pick out where we were supposed to order from - they needed explaining to us (as well as too the couple next to us) - never mined not a problem - so-long as the foods good, right? We'd decided on starters from the Specials Menu to fine out that we'd been given the wrong Specials Menu - we had to make our selections again - granted not a major incident. Then we were told that as the restaurant had been 'very busy' that evening a number of the starters and main courses had been sold out - again not a major problem. The waiter recommended a wine (as an alternative to the Pino Grigio - which was sold out) when the alternative came it was nothing like what we'd wanted - never mind we'll make the best of it we thought. The food came and it was very good and agreed, probably the best in Liverpool but be aware - you don't get an awful lot for your money - that's okay the quality was there we thought. So after a few jokes about still being hungry, having to fill up on some toast when we got home and wondering if we'd accidentally ordered of the childrens menu we ploughed on to the desserts. Once again very nice but not a lot for your money - by this time we were all highly assumed by the quantity of food provided and in our hysterics we were joined by the couple sitting next to us, who had similar thoughts to our own (they had been brave enough to even mention the volume of food (or lack of it) to the waiter!! Mon dieu!! In summary the food is great and the surroundings loverly - would I go back again? No. On balance and considering all the above I'd get more enjoyment from visiting a cheaper restaurant (with arguably less premium branded food). Maybe be it's because I'm uncouth and lack real taste or class? Or maybe it's because I know what I like and I've got more sense than money?

My family and i have regularly dined in Que Pasa over the last year or so.With the exception of a few minor hiccups,we were pretty pleased with the overall experience. However,on the last 2-3 visits,we were shocked by the decline in the quality of the service, and the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant. It is disappointing as the quality of the food is of a high standard, and it is clear that a great deal of time and effort has went into every dish.Unfortunately, like so many restaurants on the Lark Lane strip,Que Pasa feels that it would benefit more from a pub atmosphere.Upon entering the "restaurant",one cannot help but be overwhelmed by the congregation of people at the door. And although the smoking ban has helped to alleviate ones sense of claustrophobia, the scramble to be noticed would deter anyone from entering.
