I don't mind getting greasy curries because it usually means that the food is authentic so I was a bit worried about the food being cooked with water instead of ghee. The food was lovely though. A wide range of dishes that both managed to be delicately spiced and very light. Can? wait to go back!

The few things that I dont like are the way they allow smoking in the eating area. People light up as soon as they have eaten with no regard for all the other diners! Also, as it is so small you are generally sitting VERY close to other tables so if they smoke, SO DO YOU! and then when you finish your food you are asked to sit downstairs with your drink to finish so they can make the table for other people, so don't expect to sit and digest your dinner for too long. Still, it's a nice place so try it!

Damons – Mossley HillWhat can I say the food here is the best that have ever tasted the Meat samosas and the Seek kebab are truly amazing. The staff are very down to earth and friendly although the place could do with a bit of a makeover as it is slightly dated. The portions are large and it is very cheap probably one of the best-priced restaurants that I have been to. Well worth a try you wont be disappointed

Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreYou cannot go wrong with a meal at the Bottle and Glass. Yes, it is nearly always busy but if you go at off peak times i.e. in the middle of the afternoon or early evening, you should always be able to get a table and your wait for food won't be very long. I have been here on a number of occasions and have sampled quite a few dishes from the menu and specials board. The food is always delicious and is greatly complimented by their extensive wine list. Their Pinot Grigio is gorgeous or if you are a red wine lover, I am told that their Shiraz is lovely as well. The ambience is also something that will pull you back time and time again. It is so relaxed. The tables are lit by candlelight at night as well, which sets a romantic setting. It is also a great place to go for a group of you, although it is a problem not being able to book for over 6 people. But a group of 12 of us went one Saturday afternoon and had no problem getting a table. This has everything a pub needs - relaxing, great atmosphere, gorgeous food and drink. You couldn't ask for more!
Bottle And Glass – St.HelensTuesday night was very quiet- just our table of 4 and one other couple, which made for a subdued atmosphere. Nevertheless the setting is classy with interesting art on the walls. Very attentive service and all those little touches you expect from a wannabe Michelin starred restaurant- the pre-starter and pre-dessert were delicious. And of course they help with the value for money rating but there's no getting away from the fact that this is an expensive restaurant and after 3 courses plus the little extras I didn't actually leave feeling full. The food was excellent- well prepared and perfectly cooked and served and the waiter was knowledgeable and more than happy to provide extra info to help the decision making. None of us were vegetarian- fortunately as there was only one choice of starter and main course available. Not a place to go if you just fancy a night off cooking, but to celebrate a special event it could definitely make an occasion more memorable. I'll certainly be trying it on a weekend to see if there's more of a buzz (a very refined buzz obviously)!
Fraiche Restaurant – OxtonI chose to visit this restaurant on Saturday at lunch time It is the only Indian I know of open at this time. I ate a selection of poppadoms and delicious unusual pickles followed by an equally good dosa then the set lunch - a small portion of chicken, fish and vegetable curries with lentils and spinach, rice and bread. The food was excellent. It was fresh and flavoursome. This restaurant is far removed the standard curry house and is well worth a visit. I will return.
