Delicious food crosses all borders. The food at Yialousa Greek Taverna was sumptuous. We feasted on succulent mezes, moussaka and shish kebab. The manager and waitresses were very friendly--even the cook came out to greet us in his chef's hat! What fun we had at Yialousa Greek Taverna!

I would just like to say thank you to the manager and staff who made us feel very welcome yesterday when we visited the pub.. When we got to the pub it was packed the atmosphere was great and cheered us up, we ordered food which was really tasty ,We had a long journey back home and stayed in the pub a lot longer than we should of but really felt the pub was run properly and very clean and tidy .

I recently visited Crystal Palace because of work and went in to the Monkey Bread tree. It was empty when I walked past and fancied a quick bite to eat so I decided to pop in. First impressions where the decor was slightly weird, someone had basically just thrown a few tins of paint at the walls but I guess that could be "artistic". I waited for about five minutes to be seated but there was no one around, this coupled with the fact the place was FREEZING cold I decided to leave. I'm not sure if there is a lack of staff there or they do not pay for heating but it really put me off! Such a shame.

We dropped in for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon while dodging the freezing weather after a walk at the Horniman Musuem. What a treat, !!!The decor was rich and vibrant and a spacious, bright and WARM, homely venue. We enjoyed some excellent starters and mains and the food was fresh, punchy and delicious!! The hosts were most friendly and service was just perfect - they cook everything to order. The menu really tantalised us both and we were not disappointed. We will be back very soon and it appears the menu changes and evolves and some classics always available. Gluten free and veggie available. The best part was the price - excellent food and drinks and such fantastic value for money. See you very soon!!!

We ate at The Monkey Bread Tree the other day. Its on Westow Hill right next to the closed down American diner. Its also family owned and run, so it has a very particular homely vibe about it. Very relaxed and warm. The place is quite quiet for the time being, although they did say that they've opened without any marketing, so I'm sure as word gets around it will get busy. Its decor is really vibrant and arty - the entire place is covered in all sorts of colours… and the menu matches it - it has a really great eclectic mix of items, and its really quite affordable. Its all made fresh (including the rolls which come with the pates), and they apparently keep changing the menu items to keep it unusual and a fun experience - so it won't remain the same all the time. Looking forward to trying more out on the menu, kind of felt as if we played it too safe on our first visit… we want to try to come back as they change things because some of the dishes they described as coming onto the menu soon sound really exciting. The chicken dish I ate, which was really succulent and well cooked, came with this potato filled pastry and a balsamic cabbage salad. I don’t know where it comes from, the type of food, but it was really great and unusual. I guess that’s why they say the restaurant is more international cuisine than anything else. It made for a really fun change on Crystal Palace high street, so I hope they hang around and get settled. They also make their own ice creams - some of which sounded really exciting like the apple and rosemary ice cream or Chinese apple. We settled for the Bakewell Sponge for dessert though, it was wonderful and really filling.

In Rubedo you can spend some quality time with natural wine, the owners Federico and Lorenzo, the chef Pascal show us that these artisanal wines don't merely pair with food, they enhance the experience. Amazing experience!!!! I have to say...

Just went for dinner @ The Monkey Bread Tree, never again. On first inspection it seems promising, inexpensive menu, nice wine good lighting, however it soon became clear, with the arrival of my main, that things were not as them seemed. The portions were tiny! And for£8.50 iI don't expect pretentious cuisine, I was very disappointed but thought that the pudding would make up for it, after waiting nearly 20 mins for it, it finally arrived a new twist on a bakewell tart I was promised what was delivered was a dry over cooked sponge with some very sorry looking fruit underneath, to add insult to injury I was also over charged, when I made it clear I was unhappy I did not get an apology I got excuses about how they've just opened, to me that is 30 quif down the drain, the only redeeming quality was the beer. I would not recommend it unless you've already eaten and enjoy spending money on pretentious, small portion food and slow service.

Pho is the place! It's all about the broth. Vietnamese food at its finest!

Just had take away from here and it was delicious. Mixed sharwama, hummus, lamb shish. Good quality meat, beautifully cooked and well seasoned rice. The mixed sharwama meat was tender and full of flavour, delicately marinaded. All good value and service, will definitely go again.

Amazing Japanese Italian restaurant. The fusion touch is subtle and inventive. We have been nicely surprised by this restaurant, everything is fresh with great flavors. We highly recommend the sea bream crudo, sea bream sashimi with Italian basic ingredients but so good ! Aiko, we will definitely be back !

Tired and hungry after three and a half hours at the British Museum, our family was given a warm welcome into this enchanting restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent. Burgers, fries, and sodas followed by ice cream, were ordered for the kids; and then for Mum, a soda and generous Italian style salad; and finally for dad a jack potato and a beer. We were genuinely made ready to resume our day. Thank goodness for La Roma Bella for being on hand when my wife and I, and our kids needed a break in our exuberating day.

An old friend came into London to join me in a 10K race, so I wanted to treat her to dinner at the most welcoming and diverse Italian restaurant I know. We went to Trattoria Verdi. We dove into delicious and beautifully presented fish and seafood dishes. The waitress was able to make excellent recommendations for appetizers and wine. The entire day was a phenomenal success, made complete by dinner at Trattoria Verdi. Will be coming again soon.

The warm interior of this wood-panelled restaurant serving pizza made in a wood-burning oven, really caught our imagination, so we tried the salmon fettuccine—absolutely sumptuous, and top notch grilled steak. The meal was heavenly. We also were delighted with the Italian background music, and stylish service. Highly recommended.

I visited on 22 August with 4 others for a friends 40th. From the booking of the table, to the food, to the service - all I can say is top marks. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the staff were fantastic. Food was amazing. Can't wait to visit again and try something else from the wonderful menu.

When I walked into this restaurant last weekend I felt like I’d walked onto an Italian piazza. With a nice glass of red wine in hand and my plate of lasagna served to our table I was transported south. Actually, since the famous Trevi fountain in Rome is currently dry and under renovations, my family and I were able to admire it better than if we had been in Rome itself, because La Roma Bella has reproduced it as a hand-painted life-like mural. This was a splendid family outing, and we’ll make a point of coming back.

Trattoria Verdi summoned the resources and know-how to seat and serve my five famished friends and me without prior reservation. We were impressed with the timely service and the food. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the pastas were delicious and generous, and when we asked about desserts, they rolled in a trolley of fresh, exciting and delectably tasty cakes alongside our table so we could point out our choices. Trattoria Verdi played superb hosts in the face of our gamble to show up unannounced. Five stars for reliability.

Several friends and I didn’t manage to go away on holiday so we threw a fabulously successful party at Yialousa Greek Taverna to mark the end of summer. There was excellent meat and poultry, delicious home fries and rice, perfectly cooked veg, and crispy salad with fresh ripe tomatoes. The Greek waitresses, background music and wall paintings of Greek views created the warm surrounding we needed to round up the season. I highly recommend going to Yialousa Greek Taverna as a group, because the food is supremely tasty and they know how to keep a party smiling.
