I had a fantastic experience at Matthews Kitchen Seafood & Grill on Whetstone High Road. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The restaurant is spotless, well-ventilated, and clearly takes cleanliness and hygiene seriously — something that really stood out to me. The staff were warm, professional, and followed all health and safety protocols without making it feel clinical. The tables were well spaced, everything was sparkling clean, and hand sanitiser was available at the entrance and by the restrooms. As for the food — absolutely outstanding. The seafood was incredibly fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. You can really tell they source quality ingredients and handle them with care. It’s rare to find a restaurant that offers both top-class food and a strong sense of safety and comfort. Matthews Kitchen gets it right on every level. Highly recommend for a relaxed, delicious, and safe meal out in North London.

However, 15% service is quite hefty especially as we like to drink so with service makes the bill quite expensive. Our dessert was forgotten as well, not a problem but again didn’t help with the high service charge. Would still highly recommend the restaurant but maybe negotiate service charge
