We travelled from west London to try seas garden. The booking we made online wasn’t in the booking order but you made space for us anyway and wow no disappointment. The prawns just kept coming out. Delicious from start to finish!

I have been a my here a few times with different groups of people and they have all enjoyed the food, drinks and the whole experience. The manager is always very help and she will make you laugh and smile.

I highly recommend the Basket Press Wine Bar and chef residencies! It is always a wonderful experience. Every chef offers a unique and delicious menu, and the wine list is excellent! I also love the chilled, cosy and super friendly vibe. I cannot wait to go back!

Service wasn’t great but food was lovely. Best Caribbean roast I’ve had. However, it Took around an hour for the food arrive and ordered Mac n cheese as a side and came luke warm way before the food so had to eat that first. Was complimented with an extra side of cauliflower cheese which was lovely. I would recommend eating here just hope for good weather where you can wait for your food with a lovely drink outside as we did.

Waited over an hour for our food, which was super frustrating for the kids. When it finally came out, the female bartender just dumped it on the table and walked off in a mood and it wasn’t even our order. We ended up being charged for food we didn’t get. Had to ask twice for our drinks too. When the right food did arrive, it was just average. The only real highlight was the young waiter, he was lovely and clearly doing his best. Just another TikTok-hyped place that doesn’t live up to it and can’t seem to handle the pressure. Won’t be going back.

Booked for 4 of us for Father’s Day. There were a lot of people and it seemed like they struggled. The food took over an hour to come, we ordered Mac n cheese as a side but it came way before the food so we had to eat it as a starter as we were told the chef was busy and doing his best. It wasn’t a great experience to be honest, felt really stressful. The food however was really tasty, I just think if you go you need to pick a quiet day as they are a pub first and foremost and didn’t seem set up for so many diners. I wouldn’t go again.

Very tasty food and good size portions which given the range of dishes in the two different set menus we chose justified the price. However re the toilet facilities things were not so good. One ladies toilet had no means of hand drying and the other one had a hand dryer that barely worked. On a peek into the disabled toilet it appeared to be more of a locker and store room so I was glad my husband was not with us as he would have needed to access that facility with his rollator which would have been nigh on impossible.

The Dover sole is always delicious at a much lower price than central London - top quality seafood is always expensive, but this is the least expensive place I know to eat it, with the bonus of friendly service, a good atmosphere of locals enjoying themselves, and a likeable slightly quirky interior.

Absolutely excellent food. Restaurant immaculate and welcoming. Food was freshly cooked and portions were excellent. Would go more if we lived closer.

Large group booking in main part of bar that made it difficult to get to bar to order. Would have made more sense for large party to be in the private library space. Food took over 50 minutes to arrive at table. Quite disappointing to have to wait so long. Mac n cheese quite al dente and not enjoyable. Burger was ok. Plantain was over cooked and a bit salty. Staff were friendly.

Been going to Matthews for years. Beautifully decorated family run restaurant. Always a comfortable and pleasing atmosphere, it’s a haven in North London. Food is always exceptional and staff is very friendly and attentive . We’ve never had a bad experience or a bad meal and it’s a great go to, especially as I am a pescatarian and we’re so lucky to have such a great fish restaurant so close to home. There’s always a good selection of seafood variety . Please don’t ever leave !
