Lovely pub with good food and a great relaxed atmosphere.

We sat in the glass extension area; cross between inside and out which I thought was really good. Nice food and very friendly staff. Well done! Good time at a reasonable price.

Went for a birthday lunch with my dad; really enjoyed the food but was disappointed by the service and decor- such a shame because I do love The Owl. We arrived and were seated at our table, then didn’t hear from a waitress. Ourselves and another table went up to the bar to order our food. The food was fantastic & great portion sizes! The restaurant allow access to dogs, which is great however the seat covers need to be cleaned! The bench I sat on was full of trodden in mud & there was an awful smell. Such a shame as it’s got so much potential- refurb is needed!

Came for Sunday roast and a lovely lunch. Definitely good value for money given the size of the portion, my only critique would be my plate had 2 whole solid carrots which was a lot to try eat - everyone else seemed to have 2 long halves. Very quick service too.

Had the pan fried salmon, delicious! Staff were welcoming and efficient.

Had the owl smashed burger it was great Staff warm And welcoming

Absolutely fantastic experience. Service was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly staff and always happy to help. Plenty of space for kids to play with open land and kids playground. Very friendly people around also which is great. Drinks were good, like most decent pubs. Foods was good. Not amazing but good for the price. Good value. If food was better they would have to charge more .

A lovely dog friendly pub serving great food with efficient and helpful staff

Thank you so much for your kindness to me yesterday. I had a table booked for 2 plus one small dog. Unfortunately my friend was involved in a bad car accident - she is mostly ok, it could have been far worse, but the car will be written off. Please could you thank your staff for calming me down and making sure I was OK to drive. They were so thoughtful and it was much appreciated at a very stressful time. I'm so sorry I didn't get to eat lunch as you have a wonderful menu as well as a beautiful venue. I hope to return in the future.

Nice food and good service with a relaxed atmosphere.

Six of us went for Sunday lunch last weekend. The meat and most of the vegetables were excellent, especially the carrots. But I have to say the roast potatoes were really disappointing. Really hard on the outside and hard on the inside too. As if they had been reheated. We ordered an extra portion too and hardly ate any. It really spoiled my dinner and everyone left some of them. The pudding was very nice though

Great food, friendly Service and amazing ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening ending meal at The Owl. We would definitely go there again

Sunday lunch with young children, We booked for lunch with friends. Location is great, as close to the forest so we managed a walk first. There’s a play area which is great for the children. The outside area is lovely, lots of tables, seating areas and it’s nice and quiet. There’s also a cool tipi area should it rain. The staff were amazing, friendly, fast and very efficient. Food is better than I have experienced before- we were all very happy with our meals. Overall we were all very impressed and enjoyed our food and experience at the owl.
