The Man At Arms – LutterworthVery disappointed We have been going to this restaurant for years But on our recent visit the food was poor Small portions burnt scampi and onion rings and the steaks very fatty . The main courses were terrible The food has definitely declined drastically! Waste of money.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthAwful food. Fillet steak as tough as old boots, service waiter rolled their eyes. Will never ever go again would not recommend to anyone Doesn’t deserve 1 more a 0
The Man At Arms – LutterworthMy family and I have visited this pub many times and we've always been relatively please with the service and food. It's standard pub grub, it's what is expected and what you get... Apart from our last meal there... It was the worst meal out I've ever had and I've had many. I wasn't going to write a review, but after the way the manager made us feel, I'm doing it. I'm on crutches at the moment and we waited at the door to be seated for several minutes. 5 different waiters/waitresses passed us with out even any acknowledgement or thought. Eventually, the manager checks us in. We ordered from the app and drinks came promptly after ordering... Brilliant! But the food came later and was the worst mixed grill we've ever had. I understand you pay for what you get, so I knew it wasn't going to be fine dining. But my god, I couldn't tell what meat was what, it was all the same colour .... Pinky, smelled weirded, nearly all the meat tasted the same and tasted off. The only ok bit of meat was the gammon, which actually tasted like gammon. As soon as I finished the gammon, I moved onto the steak which tasted really off, a taste I can't describe but I definitely question if I was going to be Ill later on. I sampled tiny bits of other meats and left it, only eating the spuds, mushroom and egg. The sausage was pink in the middle, pork didn't tasted like pork and I couldn't tell you what one item was but it was I mixture between a battered up terrible belly pork or an attempt at a lamb chop? We did hear another table questioning the steaks too and they left it uneaten. The waitress was lovely and I politely explain the meal was not great and pointed out the meat colours, smells and tastes etc.... She apologised and got the manager. Excellent customer service skills. The manager did not take criticism well, we felt lied to and belittled. Her response to us pointing out the issues was "you're the only ones to complain and we've sold loads tonight " and "you're the first to complain lately". We didn't want our money back, we just wanted acknowledgement of the problem. She was very defencive and not once did she apologise... She said she will box our food up and check the batches and the butcher where it came from. So after making us feel like we must be crazy because we were the "only people to complain" She then patronisingly asked us, " is this your first time eating out" looking at us gone out - she must be meaning after the pandemic .....but seriously, she definitely thinks we're mad. Then before taking the food away, she agrees the food is all pink in colour and shouldn't really look like that. This is the best bit, the chef said the grill had already cooled down and wasn't warm when the chef put the meat in ... funny, I thought she said they've sold loads tonight ? My concern was if it's pink ( sausage) it's not cooked, but she comforted me with telling me it was all cooked to the correct temperature. Humm, I'll be the judge of that later if I'm seeing it again sooner than expected. She gave us a bottle of wine, fare enough, but she definitely could of had better customer service skills here, especially for a manager. Over all, I'm just disappointed. I have a photo but I can't see how to add it here... Nice a pinky

The Man At Arms – LutterworthBeen a few times but this is the first since covid. Food was OK, not up to the normal level I have had every other time I have been. We had a table of 4 and meals came at different times, first 2 mesls almost finished by the time the 4th arrived. Service was fairly good and the pub was very clean. Atmosphere was a little quiet as only about a third of tables had guests. Like I said before not the best visit I have had but not a disaster either. Probally been 20 times and this was the first average meal. Would still recommend to try again.

The Man At Arms – LutterworthFood was very nice, staff were polite and helpful. Been coming here for over 20 years for meals never disappoints.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthWe came on bank holiday Monday. Had to wait 45 minutes to be served, we had 2 1 years old with us so they was getting very impatient and hungry. At this point we had asked 4 times to be served and a nice lad finally came as he had just started his shift. When the food finally arrived one of our party ordered fillet steak with a Stilton sauce we had to send the steak back as it was that chewy he couldn't even cut through it. When it came back they had took his sauce and not bought anymore back so we had to ask again but the wrong g sauce got bought out and no one came back to our table so he had to make do. When we told thr waitress when paying the bill she wasn't listening to a word we said, didn't apologise just kept saying the bill amount. Ive dined here many times before however this bad experience has really put me off.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthFirstly the food was delicious although the chips obviously weren't freshly cooked. The greeting could have been at bit warmer although the atmosphere did improve as time went on. We are very glad we were given a table near the window as, looking further into the restaurant, it seemed a bit gloomy - perhaps some better lighting is required.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthGreat food and service.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthHave really missed being able to come for our Steaks but back now on Sat pm for our regular Steaks Can’t beat it have never had a bad meal it’s no more expensive than eating at home - and you don’t have to wash up.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthGreat service, fabulous food and lovely ambiance.
Cheikhos Restaurant – LutterworthWe visited on May 22nd, the 1st weekend after lockdown. Felt completely at ease, the staff were very much covid compliant. We had our table for an hour and half. Me and my dad had the best steak we have had in a long time, even better that it was a special offer with a bottle of wine. We do visit Man at Arms regularly, and it never disappoints.
