Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Having had the good fortune to visit many Indian restaurants in the UK, I can honestly say that this is by far and away the best I have been to. I am now a regular visitor and often look to try a different dish from their extensive menu and have yet to find one to disappoint. The food is excellent, great taste and cooked well and the service is always superb.

Attended here last week. Poor service and poor food. Frankly the place is full of Hooray Henry's which I do not doubt the name derives from. That's all a shame as ive eaten here before some weeks back and all was well, apart from the service. The owner really should invest in some good waiting on staff instead of employing kids. When we asked about wine, they were clueless, ditto the main meal and if it had nut traces as my wife is allergic. Sad to say I wont be recommending this venue here or to my employees.

Had a superb lunch at Bosco on Sunday. My girlfriend had Garlic Mushrooms and Penne Arrabiata; I had goats cheese crostini and Risotto. The food was excellent with the garnish freshly picked from the plant - a great touch. As it was lunch we stuck to coke - even that was from a glass bottle. The ambiance is great; the food stunning and the service first class. Our first visit but believe me we will be back and will recommend it to all.

I visited Red Fort for 1st time on Sunday evening and enjoyed the food very much. I visited many Indian restaurants but i found this was the best. I am from India myself originally and food taste like back home. Service and environment was excellent.

After reading a number of recommendations I visited Ego tonight whilst on a business trip. Warm welcome, friendly efficient service. Excellent food at a reasonable price. What more could you want.

Tremendous food - high quality, matched by the service. Quiet music in the background does not intrude on the experience and the new decor is as tasteful as the food.

Amazing food, the best Italian restaurant I have been to in a long while and would certainly recommend, I had the sirloin of beef with peppercorn sauce which was mouthwatering and will definitely be having again. It is on the pricey side but the food was so good I didn't mind paying a bit more. Staff and owner really friendly, excellent service, fantastic restaurant, cannot praise the food enough.

I cannot express my delight with Novello! The food was the best by far, the service extremely friendly and we all felt so comfortable all night! The whole feeling of the restaurant and staff was warm and inviting. Highly recommend Novello as the food was excellent!! Will be going on a regular basis!!

Been here a number of times - Last time I went thought the standard had become distinctly average- although not much competition in Lytham Zest was freezing no heating whatsoever - and noone had cleared ice at front -it was treacherous. Ordered scrambled eggs on bagel with bacon. Arrived without bacon so dish taken back for first time. No real problem Arrived back - scrambled eggs were solid -they were described on menu as fluffy. Dont know if they were microwaved or bought in mix but they were inedible. Sent back for second time came back shredded and with a raw bagel and the bacon i had sent back but strangely warmer than before. Should have sent back again -couldn't be bothered but worst breakfast I have eaten and I would have preferred to have gone to a greasy spoon but wouldn't have ended up with small change from £20.00 Overall front of house staff were pleasant but the food is getting worse -how anyone could have let the food past that pass defies belief. Zest is in the best location in Lytham and has a captive audience who dont really want that much: but the quality is poor and I wouldnt recommend Zest on this performance -The kitchen needs to do alot better

The food is excellent with a wide variety of dishes of a Mediterranean influence and very reasonably priced. I had the Christmas menu which was extremely good value at £14.95 for 3 courses. The ambience is unique, very continental and relaxed with no pressure to rush which is a nice change!

Dined at Ego last week with 6 friends, waiter very surly, didn't seem to be enjoying us being in Restaurant, food excellent, however dining experience overshadowed by indifferent staff. At approx 10pm, whilst we were waiting for our desserts, the lady from the bar came over and asked us if we 'would like any more drinks' as she would 'like to close the bar. Hardly very encouraging. Then the kitchen staff decided to close the kitchen and drag a bag of rubbish through the restaurant in full view. There was still a couple of other tables of diners as well as us. I was recommended to visit this new eatery, and was attracted to try it by a discount voucher we had been sent, although I won't be recommending it, or visiting again!

Bosco, Lytham. Been here a few times. In an excellent location over looking the square. With an open kitchen and wood burning oven the food is fantastic, atmosphere relaxing, friendly attentive staff and a warm welcome from the owner Mo. The Jazz evenings are a great way to chill out midweek! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Eaten at Red Fort many times, the latest last evening, the service is excellent, the decor pleasant, the atmosphere relaxing, the staff polite and the food delicious! My husband and myself have taken friends and relatives there and would recommend a visit to Red Fort to anyone.

The best restaurant in lytham by far, I went on a Saturday night and had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious, the service was friendly what more can you want. I'm definitely going back there again.

On the contrary, I do not want to recommend Novello to anybody. From the second we walked in, until the second we walked out, it was an altogether unpleasant evening. Perhaps it was the attitude of our fellow diners, or the arrogance of the owner, but we felt many were hostile towards us as we had never dined there before and were obviously not from Lytham. The food was average, the table was tiny and the bill was extortionate. I will never dine there again, and I believe it was only our pride that paid the bill that night for it certainly wasn't the food, the service or the overall experience. Avoid.

I visited the Red Fort on 23rd October and the restaurant was busy. Nonetheless service was speedy but not rushed and the staff were attentive to customer needs. The menu was varied and well explained so that a new customer to the cuisine would be able to make an informed choice. Having had a starter, main course with nan bread and 3 drinks, the total bill was very reasonable. i would certainly take friends and family there for a meal and would recommend Red Fort to anyone.
