Ship and Royal – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Ship and Royal – LythamA super place; you can drop in at any time, busy or not,and feel at home. And eat and drink well! High class informality.
Zest Food & Wine Bar – LythamAlthough I didn't eat in squires restaurant I did eat in the ballroom at a wedding. I thought the service was extremely good, and the food was of a high standard, both the main meal and the buffet. The hotel is a wonderful venue for any celebration, sophisticated and elegant!
Clifton Arms Hotel – LythamLunch on the saver menu as per usual was up to standard. The minestrone soup is excellent and the pasta dish as tasty as ever. The staff as ever attentive and friendly
Portofino – LythamYou just can't beat Pizza Express for quality pizza in stylish surroundings! I didn't know Lytham had one till I saw it on Sugarvine.
Pizza Express – LythamEnjoyed a good meal here at the very inexpensive price of £4.95 for three courses. One could hardly do better at the price.
The Fairhaven – LythamBeing a regular of the Yang Sing and like, I wouldn't normally choose somewhere like this, but family visits etc., we did. A very good and tasty Cantonese meal, with their hot and sour soup being better than most and a good range of ribs. The single portion of noodles at £3 is outstandingly good and I recomend rather than rice. Enjoy.
Woks Cooking – LythamAll too often these days, the quality of food & drinks in public houses drop dramatically whenever there is a quick succession of licencees/pub companys. But now, at long last, someone has had the ball s to make a go of it; Robin and his wife, Carol has made the phoenix rise from the ashes. The menu that has been put together embraces everthing that is good about top quality, value for money home cooking. The Fairhaven is definitely a pub that needs to be on your list if you are looking for somewhere to go.
The Fairhaven – LythamZest is just what Lytham and the Fylde needs, namely a funky eatery/bar/cafe. I've often wanted to share a light meal and a bottle of vino with friends and not fancied a pub or restaurant so Zest fits this bill. The food was great and I'd describe it as Meditteranean tapas. Zest brings an touch of metropolitan dining to leafy Lytham!
Zest Food & Wine Bar – LythamNo where gives you a better sense of having a good night out than this cheery yet sophistocated restaurant
Portofino – LythamThis isn't a restaurant; it's a (basic) pub. They do some food at lunchtime which, really, is very good. But it's a real ale pub, nice through the day, but which attracts, rugby types on a Friday & Saturday night.
The Taps – LythamEnjoy the meals we have at Portofino both upstairs and downstairs. Very upmarket above and good value below. Cheery efficient staff and a real night out.
Portofino – LythamThis was my second visit to Lytham's new indian restaurant, and it certainly won't be my last. The place looks good, the service was very attentive, as you now expect from Indian waiters, and the food was delicious. I had chicken Jalfrezi which was done just right, not too sloppy, not too dry. The place is going to do very well and is long overdue on the Lytham dining scene.
Red Fort – LythamIf you want the best fish and chips in the country, then come and pay for them here. Steve N-w-S
Whelans – LythamOur party of four each thoroughly enjoyed their dishes which were up to the usual standard. Staff very attentive and friendly.
Portofino – LythamI enjoyed the food. The place was busy with plenty of atmosphere, all in all a great night out.
Portofino – LythamAgain I had a great night at Porto's. A couple of drinks at the bar, upstairs to the posh part for a slap up, then back to the bar to drown my tonsiles, marvellous!!
Portofino – LythamDoner Kebabs have a reputation of only being edible when you are "over your legal limit", not so with Ahmet. I've been eating his kebabs for years now, drunk and sober, nobody compares!. Thanks for moving down to Lytham when you did.
