This really is a great eating experience, the food very well cooked and nothing is to much trouble. We are now hooked and are regulars - the takeaways are equally as good and don't miss the Sunday buffet at just £8.95 per head.
Red Fort – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Red Fort – LythamDining at Eighty Eight was a truly enjoyable evening. The decor was charming and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. The menu had a large selection of interesting dishes and vegetarians will be well catered for with a wide choice. The atmosphere is perfect for an evening with friends or family.
Eighty Eight Chinese Restaurant – LythamFor my birthday, my family took me to the Eighty Eight, which is my favourite restaurant, and the food was fantastic. I especially liked the spicy Barbi Bangan, and also the toffee apples with ice cream! Highly recommended!
Eighty Eight Chinese Restaurant – LythamWe dinned at the Clifton Arms for a family celebration knowing that the restaurant offers a top notch dining experience for the Fylde. We were not disappointed. The service was very attentive as you'd expect from a four star hotel even though the staff were young. Everyone really enjoyed their three course meal which came in at £26 per head, whic although not cheap was worth it. I was particularly impressed with the wines, as well as the normal list they had a fine wine room. We plumbed for a fine Magnum of Rioja which was a reasonable £35. All in all good work!
Clifton Arms Hotel – LythamReally excellent food, drinks well served, everybody catered for young children, oap, and average age people. Only draw back is the smokey inside Lythamites who populate the inside area all day...never seem to be at work!
Zest Food & Wine Bar – LythamOrdered a take-away on a very busy Saturday night. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. This restaurant is getting better and better. I highly recommend it.
Red Fort – LythamEnjoyed dinner here with a good view of the sea. The service food etc were excellenr and the Fillet Steak was perfect, Good value for a Top Class Hotel. Hope to return again soon.
Clifton Arms Hotel – Lythamliverpool pizza express is the best
Pizza Express – LythamThe choice on the carvery was good and on this evening it was Pork Turkey or Beef with all the trimmings served by a cheerful and friendly chef. Licqueur Coffee also enjoyed to the full
County Hotel – LythamMy favorite restaurant and we eat out alot. The food is always top-notch and the service genrally very good. what we like best is the atmosphere which is typically Italian, plenty of cheery chat. Itr is always a great night out
Portofino – LythamWe went to lowther cafe a few weeks ago, and was very surprised of how nice it was, it has a lovely veiw of the gardens, and the owner very polite. we will certainly return to the cafe, and as a recomendation, i would suggest they treat themselves to the steak pie, its home made, and its pure meat!!!!!
Lowther Pavilion Cafe – LythamMonday night to eat? Everywhere is shut aren’t they? It seems not! I visited Portofino Restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised to find a warm, vibrant atmosphere upon arrival. A quick aperitif at the bar whilst perusing the menu, then on to eat. A colleague and I chose to eat downstairs in the more ‘informal’ dining area. Here, leather chairs and colourful tablecloths set off a lovely terracotta floor. Never too sure what to eat with such a good choice, but friendly staff were on hand to help me chose a simple Caprese salad followed by Spaghetti Portofino (seafood). Only the finest ingredients used throughout. To accompany the food we sipped a rather lovely Pinot Grigio (not your supermarket tat here). Fine food, service and value for money, more of a ‘dining experience’ than just a meal out. I believe this is part of the same Company as Zest I visited last week.. Now I understand, these guys know what they are doing! Excellent! I will be back soon…B
Portofino – LythamStaff, surroudings and sustinance all superb!
Red Fort – LythamAlthough the food and service are outstanding, Zest is consistantly let down by its pretentious clientele of mid 40s pseudo-lythamites.
Zest Food & Wine Bar – LythamAt last! A venue in Lytham that oozes class. They understand you need more than 1 ice cube in a drink to keep it cool. Quality beverages served in quality glasses. Ladies you will love this place! The venue itself is beautiful, with a heated stone floor, leather sofas, marble and olive wood bar all set off by mood lighting and great music. It is the place to be seen. If you're fed up with the typical English smokey 'pub' get yourself down here....Ladies, I highly recommend the champagne cocktail... B
Zest Food & Wine Bar – LythamThe visit to this restaurant was exceptional as a disabled lady eating on her own I have nothing but praise for the way the staff looked after me. And the SeaBass is out of this world!
Portofino – LythamDelicious meal, excellent service and spotless surroundings. Cannot fault this restaurant at all.
