Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

I’m still not sure I am old enough to go to The Clifton Arms, but having been invited to join friends for Sunday lunch I thought it was a good opportunity to try it. Food great, service lovely and 3 course lunch menu amazingly good value and delivered as promised with nothing disappointing. Not very often I eat every last bit on my plate!

I had only been in for a drink before at night. This time we ate in the daytime for a long lunch. I must say we were all very impressed. The design of the place is fantastic, what you would expect in a cosmopolitan city not a Lancashire coastal town. We sat in the conservatory area which is great to watch the world go by. I had the cheese and ale soup followed by the beef cheek suet pudding, both excellent. My friend had the Deacon platter for her main meal which was also top notch. Presentation of all dishes matched the style of the venue. The place I would now recommend in Lytham

All three of us really enjoyed our food. I had the avocado to start and the risotto to follow. Both excellent.

Had a good pizza here the other night but avoid the Montepulciano D’Abruzzo red wine at all costs. It’s the cheapest on the list and there’s a reason for that!

Often pop in for breakfast with my wife and young son. Very friendly and accomodating, plus the eggs rancheros is a very welcome unique option some mornings.

Very handy for Sunday lunch take away if you place your order early enough. Have always been very happy with the food; the beef in particular. Decent carved hot sandwiches at lunchtime - kind of picked up where Todderstaffe’s left off - and a great lemon pound cake.

Stopped in for lunch last week. Decent sharing platter followed by a couple of pizzas. Arguably the most authentic pizza in Lytham with some key ingredients imported rather than procured from local wholesale. Some excellent traditional trattoria style dishes offered as specials keep things interesting without overcharging. Makes for a great experience. Service very friendly as ever and great to see them turning a brisk trade for a Fri.

Lovely little tearoom out of the way in Lytham. Has character and we both really enjoyed our meals. Welsh Rarebit and a panini with soup side. Cake and tea for afters!
