Capri Grand Cafe and Champagne Bar – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Capri Grand Cafe and Champagne Bar – LythamMy Nanny went in this afternoon with my daughter and son for one of the wonderful home made ice creams. After finding a table inside as there were no tables outside she ordered an ice cream for herself and my daughter and a juice for my son. The juice came in a lovely plastic cup with a straw and my son sat beautifully and drank it. He then caught the base of the cup on a ridge in the table and spilt it. My nanny asked for a serviette and was told rudely the female owner someone would have to clear it up and that it would have to be mopped properly. Fair enough but surely a serviette wouldn't have been too much of a problem. A poor waitress brought a mop and bucket to be hollered at by her boss that it needed to be done properly with a wet mop then a dry mop. My nanny in the meantime had now been made to feel very awkward by the female and male owner. She was then told and I mean told, to move outside. She didn't and moved to another table inside whilst the area was mopped properly. My daughter and herself finished their ice creams feeling like naughty children. Even the woman on the table next to them commented on the way in which she had been disgustingly treated. I rang to lodge a complaint about the way she was treated and was told that my Nanny hadn't even apologised for the the spillage. Sorry? What was she apologising for? Accidents happen!! She, nor I would ever return to this cafe even if the ice creams were free. Disgusting customer service and overpriced!!
Fancy That – LythamI really enjoyed my time at Capri in Lytham, so much that I returned the very next day with a new set of friends!
Capri Grand Cafe and Champagne Bar – Lythamwaited for the opening fuss to die down before trying this venue, as a substitute for The Trawlboat. All was good, our order was correct, well cooked and up to the usual standard. service was good, and we hit a quiet spell. we liked the modern interior. parking could be a problem but we got parked on the road opposite. this new eaterie should give others a bit of competition and the local small shops should get a bit more footfall too. well done JD's
The Railway Hotel – Lythamhad an excellent lunch with my wife at the weekend. The pizzas are really good, something of a speciality, and the pasta with king prawns was great too, recommended!!
Bosco – LythamVisited this cafe at 4.30 on Fri afternoon. Was greeted very warmly by a nice gentleman i presume was the owner. Only really wanted a quick cup of tea but was tempted by him to have a piece of cake too. Was then served by a woman who i can safely say is the rudest and most miserable looking individual i have had the misfortune to meet! I assume she is the owners wife as any employee with that attitude would surely be sacked. Needless to say i wont be returning despite the tea and cake being quite nice. Whatever happened to service with a smile?!
Fancy That – Lythambad review test message
Portofino – LythamEnjoyed my Chilii con Carne in the sun. Excellent cask ale from Thwaites, Double Nelson I think it was called. All for a very good price as you would expect from Wetherspoons. Bet they do a roaring trade!
The Railway Hotel – Lythami WOULD LIKE TO BOOK THE FUNCTION ROOM FOR 2 NOV 2013 PLEASE COULD YOU SEND ME A LIST OF PRICES
Fylde Rugby Club – LythamHad an excellent evening here a couple of weeks ago. We went in quite a large group, about 15, on a Friday night about half nine and were accommodated no problem! The service was first class, nothing was a problem! The food was tasty, hot and cooked to specific requirements when asked for. The specials were very good too. I would highly recommend any Indian lover to try this restaurant, confident it won't disappoint.
Red Fort – LythamI thought the food was amazing! I would say a 4 star rating! The service was very, very quick it took less that 25 minutes it was great! The value for money as well was excellent if you go for the early bird and even if you don't make the early bird you could still get great food for a cheap amount! The waiters were very welcoming and the presentation of the restaurant was very nice and was clearly orthentic Chinese decoration! I would recommend all my friends and family to go to woks cooking! Thankyou!
Woks Cooking – LythamWe were looking forward to this Wetherspoons pub opening in our town. Not a big fan of them nationally but it had to be an improvement on the Hansome Cab that was here before. The place has had a huge makeover though the structure is the same. Outside at the front a a cool modern beer garden. Inside is frankly quite a wierd mix of styles and definitely not to everyones taste, The beer choice is truly excellent and the menu very good value indeed, especially the £6.99 for 2 courses. It was very busy as you would expect for a place just opened in Lytham. The prices and size do make me worry for other venues nearby!
The Railway Hotel – LythamFavourite place on the fylde! Wish there was more info on here about it, menus etc. Like the idea of beer platters!
Queens Hotel – LythamThis is an outstanding Indian Restaurant in every way - the food is excellent, the staff and friendly and helpful, the service is outstanding and the ambience is welcoming.
Red Fort – LythamWhilst in line for my sublime chips I noticed Gordon Ramsey on the wall and a testimonial from Rick Stien on a flyer. Turned to my right and heypresto there was Bill Beaumont in the flesh. Like dining in the Ivy, celebs everywhere!
Whelans – LythamMy wife, daughter and myself called in early this evening for a meal for Father's Day. An excellent meal and good value for money as we had the 3 course Sunday banquet for £9.95 each (but the drinks and papadoms were extra.). We had 3 different meals; you can really see that each dish has been prepared separately unlike some other Indian restaurants that all seem to serve the same base but with a different sauce. I recommended the Red Fort to a couple that asked us if it was nice, as we came out!
Red Fort – LythamExcellent food - the tapas were as wonderful as any we have had in traditional spanish tapas bars and the cocktails were great! However, the stroppy blonde waitress who didn't manage to smile at all, or say more than three words to us in the whole time we were there really let this place down.
Mojito Tapas Bar – LythamQuite simply my favourite restaurant in the area, The service is outstandingly good/friendly and the food is superbly flavoursome with a wide selection of signature dishes to compliment the more traditional cuisine. The Zaflong lamb in particular, is simply excellent! I thoroughly recommend this place.
