We stayed here on a B&B basis for 5 nights and ate dinner here twice. The food was excellent- some of the best meals we’ve eaten out for a long time. The homemade steak pie was delicious with lots of very tender meat. The pork duo was superb and both meals served with lots of veg. Quality and presentation of a very high standard. Excellent menu choices for both breakfast and dinner. Staff friendly. Would highly recommend The Crown for accommodation and food. We’ve already booked to stay again when visiting family in Windsor.

Great service. Good food. We will definitely revisit soon. One suggestion, the calves liver meal would have been more enjoyable had it been served with some vegetables.

Lovely time had here for dinner... sunny pre dinner drinks on the green, service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Steak and Guinness pie was good as where the fish and chips. Not sure why people still serve truffle chips? Sticky toffee pudding was something to behold! Light fluffy and sauce wasn't overpowering. Will be back!

good service, friendly staff, excellent food.

Two of us went for breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning. The food - Full English and Pancakes - was great and very good value for money. Unfortunately management had left the Crown woefully understaffed! There was just one waitress! The poor girl was an absolute star, but was being run off her feet trying to keep up with orders! Unfortunately our coffees were half an hour in the making but it was not her fault. Just can't believe how management had got it so wrong!

Fabulous Sunday roast - this is my favourite roast in the area!

We were staying at the Odney Country Club (courtesy of John Lewis) for just 2 nights, and happened to stumbled upon The Crown while out for a walk. I'm glad we did. The food was lovely, with generous portions. The IPA from the local Marlow brewery (Rebellion) was well kept and a nice beer. The service was faultless. I hope we visit the area again. If we do, the we shall definitely come back to The Crown for dinner. Thank you.

Lovely evening meal at The Crown, well presented and cooked, good portions with attentative friendly staff in a lovely atmosphere. We stayed the night in a lovely room in the courtyard area. Breakfast in the morning was again lovely. I would definately recommend The Crown and can't wait to eat and stay there again when in the area.

Had a lovely meal at the Crown last night with 3 friends to celebrate 2 birthdays . The food was excellent. 2 of us had liver and bacon, 1 salmon and 1 fish and chips. Service was good as well. We were well looked after. Will be back.

Good food, which was nicely presented. Service attentive at first but not so much later on. The Crown didn't meet my expectations but we had a pleasant evening regardless.

Visit 04/04/25 This is my fourth stay in Cookham & to the Crown. Absolutely my favourite place to eat. Portions are generous, presentation perfect, service warm & friendly but not over the top & the food……well! Every meal I’ve had has been delicious. Fish and chips. Buttermilk chicken burger. Cumberland sausage and mash. My absolute favourite chicken supreme is off the menu but hoping it returns for winter. The Eton mess cheesecake was amazing. This is a warm locals pub with a family feel that serves amazing food. If you’re that way pay a visit. It sits on the village green surrounded by history. I love it.

4 of us went for lunch yesterday (Weds 2/4/25) Good choice of food, tasty and well presented. Young attentive staff who were helpful. We’re local, will spread the word and eat here again!

Good for bangers and mash!

We went for lunch on a sunny Saturday when the pub was really busy. This didn’t distract the team from providing really good service and fantastic food. We had the Pork Belly, Calves Liver and the Duo of Duck, and will be going back very soon.

A great pub with amazing food. Myself and my partner go regularly during the week when we've had a hard day at work and can't be bothered to cook! The staff really look after us too. It's not cheap, but the quality is superb. So far I've had and can highly recommend: the Lamb Shank, Fish and Chips, Steak Pie, Sausage's & Mash, The Pork Belly, the Steak and the Burger etc.
