We went on a Sunday; the restaurant was packed giving a lively atmosphere. There was a large selection of dim sum on trolleys; all were delicious and the waiters very helpful. I would highly recommend this place!!

Glamorous – Northern QuarterAlways receive a warm welcome here, great no fuss decor simple yet stylish. Always good atmosphere. Really nice staff, and the food is unbelievable for the price. especially considering its excellent location right next to Bluu.
Sweet Mandarin – Northern QuarterThe Sweet Mandarin is fast becoming one of our favourite places to eat out. The prices are extremely reasonable and the vegetarian options such as the Buddha's Golden Picnic Basket and Mabel's Claypot are amazing quality - always fresh and full of flavour. We would recommend this place to your viewers.
Sweet Mandarin – Northern Quarterwent for a birthday at the weekend in a large group. Food was excellent but was let down by service and organisation. Had to wait an hour and a half to be seated by which time my heavily pregnant friend was ready to eat the waiter! Bit annoying as we had been booked in for 5 weeks. Food was good quality and reasonably priced. Was just a bit disappointing.
Panama Hattys – Manchester City Centrefantastic place to go for a spot of dinner,my wife and i will definatly be back,
Wagamama – The PrintworksI have been to Sweet Mandarin a few times and the food and service are absolutely excellent. I've been as a couple and for my birthday and each time the staff have been attentive and the food lovely. I look forward to my next visit.
Sweet Mandarin – Northern QuarterI have visited on several occasions and the food and service have been excellent each time. We had the Alberts breakfast and chilli scallops to start followed by meatballs and haddock risotto. All were done to perfection and easily rival any of the more expensive and stuffy restaurants in the city centre. The service is friendly and efficient and the location is probably one of the best in Manchester - easy parking and a fantastic view.
Alberts Shed – Manchester City CentreHunters serves amazing and authentic Indian food and kebabs. It's essentially a take away with a few plastic tables and chairs, so don't go expecting a visually stunning restaurant experience. However if it's just food that you are intereted in then I reckon it's the best I've had, especially their fine vegetarian dishes. Their ochre is first class. It's situated over the road from Bluu and alot of the new northern quarter developments, perfect for a pre or post drink feed! A plate of a selection of their food was only £3.50, spectacular value!!
Hunters – Manchester City CentreWe had a really excellent evening and would highly recommend The Sweet Mandarin. We want to thank Lisa in particular for excellent service and really making our party feel welcome. The recommendations of Manchurian Fillet of Beef, Mabel's Claypot and Lilly Kwok's Curry were fantastic. Mike, Steve and Brian
Sweet Mandarin – Northern Quarteri love this place! it's just cool, it's lively and funky. but if you want top notch food or are fussy about service, probably not the place for you. The food's really good value, pretty tasty and the place has good bar atmosphere - we reguarly go after work. However, if you're a little more diserning over your food: it can take a long time for orders to come through and there's some sloppy 16year old service. all in all, good place, will keep going back - but please change the menu at some point - i've tried most things on it now!
Simple Bar and Kitchen – Northern QuarterAs good as the Thai island it takes it name from. Wines are fairly priced unlike most Chinese who rip you off. Recommended to follow a theatre show.
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreFriendly, helpful staff, great food (generous portions), cosy/comfortable atmosphere. The kind of place you can enjoy a great meal and feel relaxed instead of rushed. For those who don't like their food too spicy much of what we had was mildly spiced, but you can choose hotter stuff if you want! It was good to be able to relax and enjoy ourselves instead of feeling rushed out of the door. We will definately going back (this was our first visit). Decor not modern, but not too seventies, it seems fitting for this taverna.
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City Centre. It has now become our favourite Manchester restaurant - excellent food - great ambience & service. Best time to go mid afternoon & chill out with a couple of bottles of Les Hauts Du Mont.
Cafe Istanbul – Manchester City CentreFood was fantastic and the portions were generous too
Velvet – Manchester City CentreWe went for the Beat the Clock special menu. We ordered at 5.15pm and paid £5.15, which was amazing value. I had the Vegetable Spring Rolls to start and the Lilly Kwok's Chicken Curry. Both were really delicious. My friend had the Chicken and Sweet corn Soup and the Pork Wambamboo - he loved it too. I would definitely recommend Sweet Mandarin. It was a great place tucked away in one of the most exciting streets in Manchester.
Sweet Mandarin – Northern Quarterthe place was very dark and you could not see the menu clearly, there were crayons and pennies on the table from the people befor us . when the meal came it was very nice but you didnt see what you were eating ,
Old Orleans – The PrintworksCalled in on the spur of the moment, what a find, food well presented and plentiful, staff attentive but not intrusive, we were lucky to get a table as not long after we had sat down the place was full; our first visit but not the last!
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreAte here about a week ago. The food was the best we have eaten in Manchester for a good 12 months. And I mean the best food, not just the best Punjabi food. Everything was freshly prepared (be prepared to wait a little longer than usual) and very tasty. Flavours balanced and in abundance. Even the pickle tray has 8 - 9 home made pickles with full descriptions underneath the little bowls, which is fun and useful. Massive selection of dishes, including plenty of fresh fish. Try the Cod starter. We are restaurant owners and are pretty hard to please, but we left this place with a massive smile on our faces. A bit out of the city centre - it? on the Ibis hotel on Princess Street, but there? easy parking at multi-storey across the road. They deserve to do very well.
