Good place to take all the family brill value for money overall brill
Buffet City – Manchester City CentreI was recommended the Gaucho Grill by a friend, and I wasn't disappointed - I will also be recommending it. We went on a saturday night, we were the second sitting on the table but by no means a second rate service. The atmosphere was good, a dj with background beats filled this massive building and made you feel like you could almost be somewhere else! The food was delicious, we thankfully skipped the starters and went straight for two steaks and a couple of side dishes - and we struggled to finish. My husband was very impressed. Our waiter was attentive, polite and not over the top. We squeezed in a pudding - one to share! The bill was reasonable considering we'd also had drinks at the bar, and a bottle of the House Cabernet Sauvignon. It was definitely a meal to remember.
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreI love El Rincon?!! The best meat paella and wonderful patatas bravas the gambas pil pil the best I have ever had!!!! Go on a regular basis and are booked in for next Saturday. The best Spanish tapas bar ever..
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreI have now been twice in 2 weeks as the first time was so good I needed to return ASAP. We were taken by friends the first time and the first thing that hit me after walking into the restaurant was what a fantastic host the owner, Wing is. He asked everyone's first names and bearing in mind this was a Saturday evening and full to capacity remembered all our names correctly throughout the night. The attention to detail of the restaurant is fabulous and the staff dressed in authentic Chinese attire and wearing white gloves to serve you is something special. I thought I had eaten in some of this country's better Chinese restaurants but I have to say this place stands above them all. We were seated in a very nice booth where the ladies had poufs next to them on which to place their handbags. Hot towels to cleanse were brought out immediately. The menu choice is fantastic, the food even better. If you are a lover of Chinese food I defy anyone to find fault with this place and if you haven't yet eaten here you must go as soon as possible. We eat out 4 to 5 nights per week. This is probably the best restaurant ever.
Wings – Manchester City CentreTogether with Sam's Chophouse one of the finest english cuisine you can get in town. The menu consists of amazingly nice 'Fish and Chips' or the famous 'Steak and Kidney Pudding'. Although you have to pay more than average it is well worth a visit even at lunch time.
Mr Thomas’s Chop House – Manchester City CentreAfter reading all the rave reviews about this place I was a little disappointed, the food was good, not as good as I was led to believe, seemed very under staffed, polite and courteous when you could manage to get someone? attention, not the staffs fault, management should sort out this problem, maybe I went on a night that was to busy, recommend going in mid week not sat if you like good service as you may get better service if there is less customers.
Koreana – Manchester City CentreThe best tapas in town you can get! I go there on a regular bases and I would always recommend it.
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreWe went to San Carlo one Friday evening in September. The atmosphere is really lively as soon as you walk through the door. There was a great range of dishes to choose from, and none of us were disappointed with our choices, everything was perfectly cooked. The service is excellent, there was no waiting for dishes to be cleared or too long a gap between courses. The price is not the cheapest of Italian restaurants, but we came away feeling we had really good value for money. Definitely one to return to.
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreFirst time visit after reading the earlier reports on here and we were quite impressed. Parked directly outside and found it a stunning building with some excellent interior architecture. After a couple of drinks at the bar we were shown to our table which was in a sort of booth. We had a seafood platter to start which was excellently presented with lobster, king prawns, scallops etc. The quality was excellent but slightly expensive at £48. Again we had fish for main course which was delicious. The place and quality of food is excellent and well worth a visit but at over £100 for 2 of us was slightly on the expensive side as a substitute for the wife cooking but its a beautiful place for any special occasion and we will definitely return.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreI love this restaurant, so many choices for mains on the menu, pizza, pasta and secondi are all wonderful. Great wine and puddings are delicious...try the chocolate fudge cake...it's massive! Gets very busy at weekends, but have always had good service, try it!
Piccolino- Caffe Grande – Manchester City CentreGood set menu deal. Ala Carte more expensive but still reasonable. I hope this place gets busier as it deserves to be a success. Fresh food, well prepared..
Villaggio – Manchester City CentreWine was fantastic; food was a let down, felt under seasoned and watered down for an English palette. Would love to see it as more of a traditional tapas place - where you can get just a drink or food - they would still make the money as the wine is great. Wine waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and cute.
Evuna Deansgate – Manchester City CentreI had my birthday here and had a wonderful evening. My party of about 11 people were all served very quickly and efficiently. The food was lovely and so cheap for the quality. The atmosphere is just right for a celebratory occasion. Thanks for making the evening so special.
Sweet Mandarin – Northern QuarterAn excellent restaurant which is notably emptier than the bar at lunchtime. The food is first class but don't expect to be out of here in less than 90 mins. Slow food is great but this is very slow indeed! However the wine list is excellent, friendly service and superb food which may be a few pounds more than your standard Manchester Conran inspired bar but well worth the extra.
Bluu – Northern QuarterWe went here the first week it opened and though it was great. The food is brill including the way the naan are served - only have the hot curries if you are brave. The service is great as well. Would recommend it to fellow veggies.
East z East – Manchester City CentreWe went on a Sunday; the restaurant was packed giving a lively atmosphere. There was a large selection of dim sum on trolleys; all were delicious and the waiters very helpful. I would highly recommend this place!!
Glamorous – Northern QuarterAlways receive a warm welcome here, great no fuss decor simple yet stylish. Always good atmosphere. Really nice staff, and the food is unbelievable for the price. especially considering its excellent location right next to Bluu.
Sweet Mandarin – Northern QuarterThe Sweet Mandarin is fast becoming one of our favourite places to eat out. The prices are extremely reasonable and the vegetarian options such as the Buddha's Golden Picnic Basket and Mabel's Claypot are amazing quality - always fresh and full of flavour. We would recommend this place to your viewers.
