Ever since the demise of 'Sarasota', Manchester's Gay Village has been crying out for an excellent restaurant. Luckily Villaggio fits the bill perfectly. The warm welcome makes you feel at home straight away. It really is nice to have a restaurant that doesn't try to be a bar at the same time. The wine list has something for everyone and all at a reasonable price. The food is fresh and cooked well and offers a variety of dishes to suit meat-eaters and vegetarians. The service is excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive without being intrusive and whenever I have been there, nothing is too much trouble for them. The whole restaurant is spotless as are the toilets upstairs. If you want a decent, informal, well-priced meal served by staff who seem to take pride in what they are doing, I would highly recommend Villaggio. I can't wait to go back. Well done to everyone concerned.
