Fabulous food and drinks. The price was the best in the city center. The staff were well mannered and pleasant (shame about the uniforms), especially that lovely camp young male manager with the dark curtained hair. I'd go back there again just to be served by him. Julian x

Im a frequent visitor to the Living Room. Good atmosphere, especially at wkend. Only downfall people seem to be a little bit pretentious because its a celebrity hangout but hey its the place to be seen, what else should i expect......

I have been going to China City for a few years now. I go 2 - 3 times per month. The food has always been excellent, and the chef is very accommodating to your requirements if you don't like something, or even if you just want something added into your dish. The staff have been constant, with the odd change over the years, so they get to know your face after a couple of visits. Everybody is always made to feel very welcome and seated promptly unless they are busy (always on a weekend) when you will be asked to take a drink at the bar until a table is free, which is not normally too long, unless it can't be helped!! The food is the best Cantonese and Hong Kong style that I have personally ever tried. I recommend the Spring onion pancakes, the sesame coated lemon chicken with lemon sauce, the deep fried pork in O.K sauce, and the lamb and spring onions, but then I can only recommend everything depending on your own tastes. I personally think this is the best food and menu I have ever eaten/seen in a Chinese capacity. You must try it at least once, and I guarantee you'll be hooked!!

I took my girlfriend to the gaucho grill for her birthday after reading some of the reviews on this web page, we had a great night. Everything about the place was quality, especially the steaks, the best food i have ever had!! The deserts need a bit of attention, but that didnt take anything away from the evening! the wine is a little pricey but again with the recommendation from the waiter, that was superb!! For a special occassion, the gaucho grill would be my choice!

I went there for dinner a few weeks ago after a number of people told me it is supposed to be the best chinese restaurant in the UK. I was a bit disappointed by the menu which seemed to be dominated by the European favourites but the quality of ingredients was excellent. The starters were fantastic and one has to look very hard to find any better. All the main courses I tried were good but I prefer the food at a couple of places in London. Probably not the best in UK, however, definitely worth the visit and overall reasonably priced.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday last week and its the best restaurant i have been to in Manchester, especially if you are a steak lover.

we visited Koreana out of curiosity and were delighted with what we found. the waitress asked if we were first-timers and made some recommendations from the extensive menu. we had the banquet This is made up of a main course witha selection of weird and wonderful sides. The food was unusual and delicious and we will definately be returning.

Its the new clic on the bloc and well worth a punt,great food great atmosphere and reasonably priced.

THE place to eat a kebab in Manchester. It also passes the very important test of being edible the night after you only managed half of it. The amount of times I awoke to half a kebab and noshed it for brekki! Oh student days where have you gone?

The best food in Chinatown

Extremely good. A relaxing atmosphere. Would definately recommend this for lunch as lunchtime specials are reasonable and exceptionally tasty!

This is most definitely the BEST Chinese in greater Manchester. It is also quite expensive but you get what you pay for. Their Beef with Scrambled Egg is superb. No Whites of egg used, just yolks (very creamy) with melt in the mouth beef.

There is no doubt about it - by far and away the best Chow Meins in Britain !

with this restaurant, when i talk about the cost i'm referring to the incredible value lunchtime buffet. Not that much choice but unlimited food well under £10 is in my book superb !

excellent meal, and the surroundings were breathtaking.

The Thai food was good but the service was terrible! I just walked through the door when the waitress cornered me for my hi-life card, we hadn't even sat down. Then the waiter didn't show us to the table, he just pointed and said "your table's over there". The service was very poor, they were unfriendly and they didn't smile, not the usual friendly Thai service you would expect. It really ruined the meal which was otherwise good.
